Ryka GCB Walking Shoe Perfect Woman’s Shoe for Foot Pain

Foot Pain, Mens Shoes

My whole life I have had problems finding the right woman’s shoe to fit my slightly deformed problem feet. That is until I found the Ryka GCB walking shoe.

I have extremely wide feet and for years I had to buy men’s or boy’s shoes to find shoes that fit the width of my feet. The only problem with a man’s shoes is that they are not designed to like a woman’s shoes. The men’s shoes arches never quite hit my arch in the right spot. The arch would land closer to my heel and cause a lot of foot pain. Also a man’s shoes are a lot wider in the heel portion, creating blisters on the backside of my heel. With the sloppy heel I would also have a problem with balance when walking any distance or walking fast.

When woman’s shoes finally came out with athletic footwear, I found the same problems as I had with a man’s shoes. Only with the woman’s shoes they did not come in a wide enough width for my feet. Trying to look stylish I would cram my foot into these shoes but would have constant foot pain until the shoes would break out on the sides relieving the pressure and the pain. But by then, the shoe would be worn out.

Then in early 2000, while on a shopping trip with my daughter to find new shoes, I came across the Ryka athletic shoe. My daughter had already heard about the Ryka shoe on QVC and she felt it might be a perfect shoe for me. She was doing more selling than the sales clerk. She knew the issues I had had in the past with athletic woman’s shoes. She also knew I was balking at the $85 price tag.

I was so glad my daughter was with me shopping that day. The Ryka walking shoe is the only athletic shoe I ever wear. Ryka has shoes that are wide enough for the width of my feet without the heal being sloppy. The arch hits my arch perfectly so there is no more foot pain. They fit like a glove against my feet. I no longer have problems with balance, since my whole foot is being held securely.

At the time of wearing my first pair of Rykas GCB walking shoe, I was working in a factory on a cement floor for 8 to 12 hours a day. While other people were complaining about their feet aching and burning I never had a foot pain one. My feet were totally comfortable.

This year I completed my first 5K walk at the Fifth Third River Bank Run. I am also walking everyday. I may never be a runner, but now because of my Ryka GCB Walking shoes I am able to participate in walking.
