Revlon Scented Nail Polish – Summer 2010

Nail Color

Are you a nail polish fanatic, but dislike the synthetic, chemical smell it gives off? I am a big nail polish addict and that is probably my main and only dislike. Recently, Revlon has released their latest limited edition nail polish that has a yummy scent when applied to the nails. Sounds intriguing and too good to be true? I got the opportunity to try some on myself and I was truly impressed.

This collection features eight entertaining colors: Beach (a satin, spring green shade), Cotton Candy (a light, sheer pink shade), Gum Drop (a light, sheer lavender shade), Grape Icy (a bright, bold purple shade), Ocean Breeze (a satin, turquoise shade), Orange Pop (a bright, bold orange shade), Bubble Gum (a bright, bold magenta shade), and Peach Smoothie (a light, sheer peach shade). Each smells just like what you imagine the color name would liken to and is not offending to the senses at all.

My favorite shade is “Grape Icy”. The shade is beautiful and the scent is pleasant (smells just like grapes!). The nice thing about this is that when you apply the nail color and once it is dried on your nails you can distinguish the nice scent of this polish and you won’t have to deal with the foul, chemical smell of most other nail polishes. The scent is light and lasts for up to three days after application. The nail color lasts a long time too, and with me being a over-the-top, frequent hand washer, that is a big plus.

This is the second year in a row that Revlon has released this kind of nail lacquer collection. It will run through the summer and is available a drugstores such as CVS, mass merchandise stores such as Wal-Mart, and specialty beauty stores such as ULTA. One .5 fl oz bottle retails for around five dollars, which is pretty decent for a limited edition nail color collection. Grab a few while you can, because these nice smelling suckers will sure go fast.
