I love for my house to smell good so I’m constantly looking for new things that will help me to achieve that goal. Since I love to cook with lots of spicy herbs and sauces, the overwhelming odor can sometimes be difficult to clear. Therefore, whatever I choose in the form of a room deodorizer must work to achieve just that.
There are a myriad of home deodorizers on the market today. While many of them are simply a waste of money because they don’t work, there are a handful of excellent products that do exactly what they claim. One such product is Air Wick’s brand new Freshmatic Mini.
I love the larger Freshmatic as well. I have one in my kitchen, one in my bedroom, and one in my living room. However, the large version is simply too big and overpowering for a tiny bathroom like ours. Luckily, Air Wick took care of that issue by designing the Freshmatic Mini.
Unlike its parent, which is made to hang on the wall, the mini version can sit on its own or it can be hung. It will deliver a wonderful spray of aroma at timed intervals that you get to set to meet your specific wants and needs. There are three settings to choose from 7.5, 15, or 30 minute intervals. There is also an automatic button that allows you to spray the scent anytime you want a boost of extra freshness.
Freshmatic Mini’s small size – – 2.5″ by 3 ½” – – makes it small enough to fit anywhere you want to put in just about any room, or closet for that matter. I like that its size makes it perfect for our small bathroom. Mine sits on the back of the toilet without moving or tipping over.
Because it is white in color, the Mini fits into almost any color scheme. Its sculptural shape also fits into any décor.
The Freshmatic Mini does all of the work for you. It is easy to prepare, convenient to locate, and lasts between 30 and 60 days, depending upon the timed setting you choose.
Freshmatic Mini is easy to prepare. Everything that you need to set it up comes in the original kit. This includes the outside sculptural piece, the inside aroma diffuser, and the necessary batteries.
All you have to do is insert the aerosol spray until it clicks shut. Pull the red tab away from the Mini to activate the battery and get the Freshmatic ready to go.
Set the Mini at the time interval that you want and place it on a hard surface or hang it on the wall.
When the green light stops flashing, the batteries need to be changed. When the aroma canister needs to be replaced, the green light will slow to one flash per second.
Replacement refills come in several scents including:
Fresh Breeze,
Floral Garden,
Fruit Scent,
Sparkling Citrus,
Lavender, and
Sea Breeze.
Fresh Breeze is my favorite scent for the bathroom. It has a clear, crisp, soft scent that doesn’t overpower. I like the Floral Garden scent for my bedroom which is, itself, a sea of roses and gardenias. The Fruit or Sparkling Citrus scents are perfect for the kitchen. They will convince your guests that you have the freshest kitchen in town. I’m not a big fan of the Lavender scent. I find it a bit too pungent for my tastes.
The original Freshmatic Mini kit, which contains both the dispenser and the aroma canister, retails for about $9.99. Each individual refill retails for around $4.99 each. Both the kit and the refills are available at most grocery stores and major discount department stores like Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Target. They can also be purchased at many drug stores as well as on line at various retail sites.
This one is an undisputed winner so I have to give it five out of five stars.
