Review: Wrigley’s Extra Polar Ice SugarFree Gum

Gum, Sugarfree, Wintergreen

I like trying new chewing gum. There are so many different brands and flavors to choose from. Recently, I spotted Wrigley’s Extra Polar Ice SugarFree Gum at my local grocery store. The polar ice flavor appealed to me and seemed to be a very different and exciting flavor of gum to try. I decided to purchase this product. Here is what I discovered!

I bought Wrigley’s Extra Polar Ice SugarFree Gum in an eight pack package that cost only one dollar and ninety-nine cents. I got eight packs of gum for that low price and I thought that it was a good bargain. I found this price at my local Publix Super Market but, they sell this gum in many places. The package states that this gum is a great value and that it is ADA accepted. This means that this gum is accepted by the American Dental Association as being a healthy gum for you to chew. This product also states that this gum is proven to help fight cavities by strengthening your teeth. I liked all of that information. I have tried many flavors and types of Wrigley’s gum but, I had never tried the polar ice flavor.

Wrigley’s Extra Polar Ice SugarFree Gum has a very fresh flavor that will wake your mouth up all over. The flavor tasted like a combination of wintergreen, peppermint and spearmint, all in one stick of gum. Wow! I liked this gum and though it’s primary taste is much like wintergreen, in my opinion, the peppermint taste does come through. This gum is very refreshing. It does leave my mouth tasting and feeling like I have just brushed my teeth! This is a great gum for when you want minty fresh breath quickly. The flavor of this gum last a long time and that was a fact that I really liked about this gum. For a sugarfree gum, this one is pretty good! For a breath freshening gum, it is spectacular! This sugarfree gum has only five calories in it!

Wrigley’s Extra Polar Ice SugarFree Gum contains sorbitol, gum base, glycerol, mannitol, natural and artificial flavors, less than two percent of hydrogenated starch hydrolysate, aspartame, soy lecithin, gelatin, acesulflame K, colors, titanium dioxide, blue 1 lake and BHT to maintain freshness. This product does contain phenylalnine.

Since Wrigley’s Extra Polar Ice SugarFree Gum contains thirty-five percent less calories than regular sugared gum and is accepted by the ADA, I find this gum to be high quality and perfect for those times when I need a stick of refreshing sugarfree gum. Polar ice is not my favorite flavor by Wrigley’s but, I must admit that it is very minty and fresh. I rate Wrigley’s Extra Polar Ice SugarFree Gum four stars out of five stars. I will purchase this product again. The eight pack value is a good deal for the price.
