My cousin was the gal who introduced me to the line of Givenchy designer perfume. She would go on and on about how wonderful the perfume was…yet when she walked by me, she smelled like nothing worth noting, or buying.
Different strokes for different folks I guess, because my mom walked by, inhaled, and had this orgasmic look on her face. She wanted to know what it was, where she got it, and how much.
A few days later she of course comes home with a large attractive bottle of Givenchy. The bottle though was not the same one my cousin had. My cousins bottle was a different color. My mom brought home a red/pink colored bottle. I knew it was Givenchy by the shape, but was interested in knowing what this scent was all about.
Very Irresistible. Very interesting.
Packaging:
Very Irresistible by Givenchy came in a long rectangular bottle with a slight twist to its edges to give it an attractive sexy sleek look. The bottle itself was made of clear transparent glass, with some reddish/pink color fading towards the bottom.
I was surprised she actually bought the perfume. Usually her and I pick up half used bottles of designer perfume at thrift stores for just a few dollars. Here she was though, sporting a brand new bottle of perfume, that she picked up from Macy’s. She spent about $60.00 on the bottle, and she didn’t even want to give me a sample spray. (Greedy!)
I took the bottle anyway and gave myself a few tester shots to my wrist and neck.
Very Irresistible by Givenchy actually smelled really freaking good. It reminded me of fresh cut roses with a sprig of mint. The scent was very awakening to my senses, and I liked it a lot. I don’t know what my cousins bottle was labeled, but Very Irresistible was definitely a hell of a lot better.
Last:
I liked the fragrance a lot, but sadly the scent didn’t last very long. I was able to detect it in the air for about an hour after spraying it. After that the overall scent sort of dried away into the land of MIA scents.
Overall:
Very Irresistible is a modern rose scent. A lot of rose perfumes smell like old lady perfume…but Very Irresistible somehow managed to bring back the rose scent without making it smell heavy and old. It’s light, fresh, and smells really good. Sadly though, the lovely scent fades quickly, and you find yourself re-applying on a constant.
Where To Buy:
Very Irresistible by Givency is semi expensive, and can be found in the prices of $34.00 to $70.00 depending on what size bottle you purchase. If you want to scoop the perfume up for less, I recommend google searching it, and seeking it out on an online store.
For those of you who hate online shopping, you can pick this one up at any local Macy’s or JCPenny. The price will be a bit higher here, but you may walk away with one of those tacky gift bags.
