Review: The Incredible Pizza Company in Memphis, Tennessee

Apple Cobbler, Breakfast Pizza

Incredible is right! You can spend all day there, and still want to stay. There are plenty of unique dining areas, tons of varieties of pizzas, desserts, a huge salad bar with every topping thinkable (and some you ordinarily wouldn’t), and I haven’t even started on the game room yet!!!! It is so huge, and there are so many things to do, that you can literally spend hours in there, and not be bored to death, waiting on your kid to finish some humdrum mediocre game you played when you were his age, wondering why he wasn’t playing his 360 or any other games at home–they’ve got bumper cars, go karts, motorcycles, rollercoaster rides, moonbounce, shooting galleries, bowling, miniature golf (with some cool neon painted dinosaurs), it was just awesome!!!

The games are more than a quarter, but 35 cents to $1.10 for some cool arcade games like the motorcycle rides and the bowling games, which were the cheapest, and the shooting gallery which was only like 50 cents, all of which you have on your game card, which is always valid, and you don’t lose points if it’s six months down the road from the last time you went, it doesn’t matter.

I know what you’re thinking, just another Chuck the Cheesmo or CiCi’s (which I do enjoy), but sorry, dudes, this is so much better!!

Let’s start with the price, which is $8.99 for adults, and priced much cheaper for kids (according to age), don’t let that scare you if you are a penny pincher, or what some might call a tightwad….That’s not too bad, considering there is a never-ending supply of food at your fingertips….Any kind of pizza you can think of, today, for instance, I tried an unusual-looking pizza that turned out to be an awesome breakfast pizza. There were no eggs (thank goodness!), it was like a biscuity pizza crust, with sausage, bacon, cheese, and the best part of that was the sauce (secret is in the sauce!)…..mustard. It was dynamite!!!

They’ve got deep dish supreme, like five different kinds of pepperoni pizzas, lots of sausage pizzas…..with mushrooms, jalapenos, olives, any combination you could possibly think of….my husband tried a hot wing pizza, and he said it was great. And he’s a great judge of pizza. I ate some great cheesy bread, which is a huge slice of cheese pizza, and the crust is really puffy like a marshmallow. Crispy crunchy pizzas, a huge pasta bar, with lasagna, spaghetti, alfredo, a huge baked potato bar, with all the toppings you could possibly dream of, and a huge salad/dessert bar with pasta salads, romaine lettuce, spinach leaves, iceburg lettuce, about twenty different dressings, and yes, some are fat free, not that I didn’t lay mine on thick, what with the purple onions, mushrooms, olives, broccoli, carrots, and ham, and cheese, and bacon bits, yes, and sesame seeds, it was fantastic!!

And for dessert, oh my, you could have pineapple, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, banana pudding, oreo pudding, cherry cobbler, apple cobbler, cherry pie pizza, a giant cinnammon roll, oatmeal raisin cookie pizza, peanut butter cookie pizza, chocolate chip cookie pizza, ice cream, slushies…..it’s making me wish I was still there.

And the atmosphere is great. There are about seven different dining areas to choose from, including private party rooms, and the one we sat in today was like a diner from the fifties, there was oldies music playing, which seemed to keep everyone mellow, no one was screaming, and I didn’t feel the need to pull my hair out at any time!!

We went to the game room after we ate, my son shot alot of stuff at the shooting gallery, I did too, we bowled together, I helped him play Whack-an-Alien, we got lots of tickets, about 357, to be exact, and he got alot of toys he is still playing with, hours later. I enjoyed the time we spent there, and had alot of fun on my own, as well, I wasn’t bored at any point, and the staff there were very kind, helpful, and quick on the job.

Next time, though, I vow to take my son on the goKarts, I wanna race, and he’s tall enough to drive slow on his own!!

I can’t wait to go back, and I’m quite sure my son feels the same way.
