Review of Dockers Premium Never Iron Pants – Comfort, Convenience and Style

Dockers, Khaki, Macys

I must guiltily admit that during my four years in the Air Force, I hated ironing. Nowadays, ironically, I find it almost therapeutic, even though I’m not very good at it. This is more than I can say for my husband, who continues to hate it. Apparently, he is not alone. For years, companies have been designing no-iron dress shirts and pants. For years, locked into my BDU’s, I never had a reason to pay attention. When my husband and I entered the corporate world, however, no-iron clothing took on a whole new appeal. In particular, Dockers’ Premium Never Iron pants, a true godsend.

I’m not the type of woman that likes to dress my man. I trust him to be able to do that for himself. I do, however, love clothes, particularly the reasonably priced kind. This means that I am the type of woman who will happily help him stock his wardrobe. When I came across Dockers’ Premium Never Iron pants via Macys.com, I knew I had to give them a try. 2 years later, my husband won’t wear any other dress pant.

Dockers’ pants don’t exactly conjure up a picture of formality. After all, Dockers are known more for comfort that anything else. “Formal comfort” seems like a made-up concept. Fortunately, it isn’t. Dockers found a way to merge comfort, convenience and style into a quite reasonably priced, fashionable pair of pants.

The Dockers’ Premium Never Iron pants come in two styles: flat front and pleated. These comfortable pants resist wrinkles, eliminating the need to iron. 100% cotton, Dockers’ Never Iron pants look just as good, wash after wash. They come in six colors: black, coco, khaki, navy, petrol, and taupe. I couldn’t tell you what the difference between petrol, taupe and khaki is, though. If, like my husband, you intend to wear your Dockers’ Never Iron pants day in and day out, life expectancy is about two years. I recommend buying at least three pair (just make sure the three aren’t petrol, taupe and khaki), to extend their shelf life.

Other features of the Dockers’ Never Iron pants include zip fly with extended tab closure, off-seam pockets and button-through back pockets. They are priced at $70, but usually can be found on sale at either Amazon.com or Macys.com for about $52.

If you, too, would love to spend less time at the ironing board, or just want your man to look and feel good, Dockers’ Premium Never Iron pants are the pants for you.
