Here is what I found out after trying Clairol Natural Instincts hair color.
Clairol Natural Instincts hair color is an excellent choice for the hair color phobic. I was born blonde and although my hair has gradually darkened as I near my 30s, I still want to be able to say I’m a natural blonde. I like to add just a little more brightness to my still dark blonde hair, and Clairol Natural Instincts provides a simple, inexpensive way to achieve just what I’m looking for.
Although the Clairol Natural Instincts box claims that it cannot lighten hair, I have achieved very subtle lightening results with the two lightest blonde hair colors offered by the hair color brand. The hair color makes my naturally dark blonde hair just slightly lighter as if I’ve spent some time in the sun. The color is extremely natural and very subtle. You can choose to create all over color, or you can apply the color to specific strands of hair for a highlighting effect.
In addition to providing a totally natural looking hair color, Clairol Natural Instincts hair color also comes with a tube of weekly conditioning treatment. This super thick, super moisturizing conditioner is excellent, especially for drier hair types. Your hair will feel silky soft after coloring, which is a stark contrast to how hair can feel after using some harsher hair coloring products.
A final positive aspect I found with Clairol Natural Instincts is that not only is it low commitment in the color department, it’s also very low commitment in the financial department. At just around $8.00 a box, Clairol Natural Instincts is an affordable hair color for just about anyone to try. I wash my hair every other day, so I if I plan to keep hair color on my hair at all times, I only have to buy a box about every 2 months. Even on my limited budget I think I can swing $4 a month.
I really did not find any negative attributes to using Clairol Natural Instincts. To achieve what I was looking for—-subtle brightness added to my natural hair color without being permanent color, and for an affordable price—Clairol Natural Instincts hair color was just perfect.
