Review of Aaron’s Rental Center in Logan, Ohio

Logan Ohio, Rent to Own

Aaron’s Rental Center is located on Hunter Street in Logan, Ohio. Aaron’s is like so many other rents to own stores in America. You can rent to own a variety of products at Aaron’s from furniture to appliances and video game systems. Aaron’s also offers jewelry and a lot of other items at ridiculous prices. The staff at Aaron’s in Logan Ohio is as nice and helpful as you could expect from such a shady business as the rent to own business is.

I would not recommend that anyone attempt to rent to own anything from Aaron’s. You will pay much more than the item is worth and you pay these outrageous prices for used merchandise. Aaron’s is a deceptive company. They lead you to believe the item you rent is new, and it mostly never is new. Recently my mother found herself in a pinch, and needed a refrigerator immediately, she decided to rent one until she had access to a truck to go out and buy one. My mother specifically requested a new refrigerator unit. When Aaron’s delivered it, they guaranteed she would love her new refrigerator. It is a lovely stainless steel model. However after it was brought into our home we learned the truth. This “new” refrigerator was scratched in six places, the crisper drawers were cracked and the best part is this refrigerator that was “new” had mold growing all through it. The idiots in the store stuffed dryer sheets under the crisper drawers, and in every nook and cranny possible.

Immediately my mother called and asked for a new refrigerator, she was told ” Oh, that one is new and has never been used.” Aaron’s employees will lie to you. They told her they could not help her and she was mistaken. That night she went to the grocery store and bought everything that went bad when her old refrigerator stopped working. The next morning, everything in the refrigerator had spoiled .The new refrigerator had stopped working all together. This was on Saturday. My mother called the manager at Aaron’s. He told her that she had the freezer on too high of a setting, and to turn it on low, and then her “new” refrigerator would work properly. Instead of trying to solve the problem that day, we were forced to wait until Monday. By turning down the freezer, we lost everything in the freezer by Sunday. The refrigerator still does not keep anything cold. After I tossed out three galloons of milk on Saturday, I felt that the experience with Aaron’s was horrible and I knew that I had to write a seething, terrible review of this company.

It is now Monday afternoon, my mother called the manager, who made vague promises of seeing what he could do. The manager, Mr. Miller did not guarantee to send out a replacement, instead he asked my mother to drive ten miles to come into the store so they could talk. This is a solution, how? She should not have had to go to Aaron’s they should have come here on Saturday and replaced the “new ” refrigerator.

Aaron’s like all other rent to own stores preys on people who are either poor or facing an emergency. The manager of Aaron’s in Logan knows that bad timing was the reason my mother made the choice of renting a refrigerator. We could certainly go buy one, but time did not allow that and my mother needed a refrigerator immediately, not on her next day off of work. Rent to own stores make a fortune, and service so many people who have no alternative to doing business with them. If you can find any alternative to rent to own, I would advise you to do anything but rent at Aaron’s in Logan. You will regret your decision. You will end up paying twice as much as the item is worth, and it will be used. Aaron’s will also hassle you weekly, like you are not going to pay for the junk you rented.
