Charlotte North Carolina, Natural Nail Polish, Spa Treatments

You don’t have be rich and famous to indulge yourself every now and then, such as getting a spa treatments service called the Ice Cream Pedicure in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Ice Cream Pedicure is one of those treatments that can be scheduled at The Spa at Ballantyne Resort in Charlotte, North Carolina for a reasonable price. Here’s more about the Ice Cream Pedicure, one of the spa treatments from this resort in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Getting The Sweet Application

I have never had spa treatments before other than a massage one time, and hadn’t much interest either. Then I heard about the Ice Cream Pedicure given in Charlotte, North Carolina at The Spa at Ballantyne Resort, and had to try it.

Marilyn Flanders, who’s been doing these pedicures for four years, would give me the 50 minute spa treatment, and made me feel really comfortable throughout the process, which she recommends that people get once a month. She told me that it’s not a rare thing for men to come to her for these kind of spa treatments, proclaiming this treatment helps to keep the feet in good shape and nice-looking.

The spa was playing mood music to help relax the guests. I chose to have my feet pampered in chocolate, though I could’ve chosen two other flavors like strawberry kiwi (the top choice) and pomegranate. The flavor selections change about twice a year. Chocolate ice cream flavor would be used throughout the process.

My spa treatment began right after taking off my shoes and socks, taking place on a state of the art, top of the line pedicure chair (that gives massages if you wish) that doesn’t use pipes for the whirlpool water stream. For about ten minutes, my feet were soaked in the water with a chocolate fizz scoop ball, which looked like a scoop of ice cream (pictured). The water would soon turn into a malt-like color and had a mild chocolate scent, though it’s not real ice cream. It felt a bit hot at first, but soon became lukewarm, and I could feel the constant water jets on my feet as they were soaked during this spa treatment in Charlotte, North Carolina.

After my feet were soaked, Marilyn started to perform a pedicure on my feet, which included filing my toenails and pushing back my cuticles. She does have a soft touch, though when she buffed and smoothed out the bottoms of my feet and toes with a pedifile (the spa treatment kind for the feet, not the criminal kind), the sensation felt strange and tickled, too.

It was at this time, when my order of actual ice cream arrived! The three yummy scoops included chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla that was served in a fancy blue seashell-like dish. Guests of this spa service in Charlotte, North Carolina can also savor wine or a mimosa, too.

Next, Marilyn applied sherbet exfoliating chocolate scrub on both my feet and lower legs (pictured). I gotta tell you that the scent of this scrub was pretty strong and nice, for it smelled to me like choclate fudge, though she said it smells of a chocolate sherbet. This process is used to rid dead skin from the feet and lower legs.

Then warm towels were put on my feet so as to make them more relaxed. This soothing treatment process lasted about five minutes. And finally, Marilyn massaged some chocolate icing on my feet for about four minutes each foot. It felt like skin lotion, and absorbed into my skin as more chocolate scent emanated with this. For the ladies, there’s one more step in which an all natural nail polish is applied to the nails of the feet.

After the process was over, my feet felt really soft and the scent of chocolate ice cream remained on my feet. I felt so relaxed after the treatment, I wanted to go to bed and sleep! I guess this is an added result of getting spa treatments, too, whether in Charlotte, North Carolina, or other places.
