Pros
1. Less gas. It is true that a hybrid vehicle will minimize the amount of gas that you have to use. With the dual power source of both an electric battery and a gas engine you can get a lot more for your money.
2. Better gas mileage. Because the car does not use only gas, you can get a few more miles out of a gallon. This is helpful because it helps decrease the amount of money that you have to spend on gas.
3. Smaller carbon footprint. This means that your car is using less fossil fuels which helps the environment and helps to clean the air that you are breathing.
4. Less parts equals better efficiency. Because hybrid cars do not require all the same parts as traditional motors, they have less engine parts which means less opportunities to mess up. The engine with fewer parts adds to the efficiency of the car.

1. You still need gas. Ass opposed to the fully electric car, you still have to buy gas for a hybrid car. Though this is not the worst thing in the world, it does not release you or your wallet from the grips of the gas pump.
2. Hard to find. Though many dealerships offer one or two options when it comes to hybrid cars, that is just about all that they offer, one or two. With a smaller selection of vehicles you may not find the car that you want.
3. Some states require additional registration. Some states require you to pay special fees or to register your hybrid vehicle where if you had a traditional car you would not have to register any special forms.
4. Special battery requirements. Though with a standard car you still have to watch out for your battery, there are special requirements when it comes to hybrid car batteries. This means that you will have to pay more attention to battery levels to make sure that you do not let your battery die or wear out.
5. Parts and labor may cost more. Because not all technicians are trained to work on hybrid vehicles, you may end up spending more on repairs than you would with a traditional car.
