Windex has a new product called the Windex Dry Microfiber Cloths. They claim that the cloths can be used on several surfaces including glass, kitchen surfaces, electronics,stainless steel,wood,leather, and many more. The Windex Dry Microfiber Cloths package states they can be rinsed out and reused.They are also suppose to leave streak free results when used on glass and mirrors.Find out how the Windex Dry Microfiber Cloths performed when I put them to the cleaning test.
When I first seen the Windex Dry Microfiber Cloths I was leery of trying another cleaning product.I have bought so many only to throw them away when they don’t do as they claim .I had a coupon so I figured I would give them a shot.With spring cleaning approaching I can use a cloth wipe that can be rinsed out and reused instead of going through several rolls of paper towels.
The cloths are a little bigger than a paper towel when unfolded.They felt strong and durable,but that would be determined after I had used it.
When I started my testing of the Windex Dry Microfiber Cloths I began in the kitchen.I wiped down all the counters and cabinets first. Still using the same cloth I continued cleaning the appliances and the walls.So far I was pleasantly surprised.The Windex Dry Microfiber Cloths were holding up very well.I rinsed them in hot water several times,yet they were still in good shape.
The next test for the Windex Dry Microfiber Cloths was the living room.Usually when I dust I use paper towels and pledge.This time I used just a damp Windex Dry Microfiber Cloth. They did great on all the wooden furniture,and the electronics.There wasn’t any dust left behind and the cloth continued to rinse out just fine. Now would be the true test,glass and mirrors.I used the cloth along with a bottle of regular Windex Glass cleaner. To my surprise the cloths cleaned the glass wonderfully. There were no streaks like the paper towels left behind.I didn’t have to worry about little bits of the paper towel sticking to the glass either.
I continued to clean the rest of the house including the bathroom and only used two Windex Dry Microfiber Cloths.I could of used only one ,but they recommend using a separate one with each cleaner to avoid mixing chemicals. After cleaning I rinsed the Windex Dry Microfiber Cloths out and saved them for another use. The Windex Dry Microfiber Cloths lived up to there claims for me.I will be buying them again.They are nice for cleaning and save me a ton of money.I would go through almost a full roll of paper towels each time I cleaned the house.Now I can use one or two wipes and they are simple to rinse and reuse.
The Windex Dry Microfiber Cloths can be found at most grocery and discount stores.They come in a box of 12 for around $3.00. You can find coupons for them on-line and often in the Sunday paper. Overall I am very pleased with the way they performed and will buy the Windex Dry Microfiber Cloths again.
