The Thai Crystal Deodorant Stone works because its naturally-occuring mineral salts and alum stop odor-causing bacteria before it starts. It has no scent at all which was a huge selling point for me because I’ve never found a deodorant with a scent I liked anyway. It took some time to get my brain used to using a hard, dry mineral stone as deodorant. It looked more like something I would buy in a New Age store than something I would actually use, but use it I did. As the directions instructed, I would dampen the stone and swipe it under my arms a few times. It wasn’t long before I developed the time-saving habit of using the Thai Crystal before I dried off from taking my shower.
Given my problem with underarm odor, the fact that the product worked was my first priority. Still, I couldn’t overlook the fact that it doesn’t contain aluminum chlorhydrate, is never tested on animals and it leaves zero residue on your body for you to transfer to your clothes. I’ve even managed to go nearly 48 hours on a couple of occasions (sue me, I have a crazy schedule) without noticing any odor whatsoever. Now it runs in the six dollar range in my area, and it worth every cent. In addition to the fact that I wasn’t wasting money on it because it really did what I needed it to do, it was saving me money at the same time because one stone lasts me about a year on average.
There are really only two possible downfalls with the Thai Crystal. First, they’re fragile. You have to wet it to use it, and wet hands are slippery. Only if you drop the Crystal, it will shatter leaving tiny shards everywhere and you with no deodorant. Also, in my experience of recommending the product to many of my friends, I have encountered two people who experienced allergic reactions while using it.
I can honestly say that I would recommend the Thai Crystal Deodorant Stone to anyone, anywhere. It is easy to use, easy to store, inexpensive, health-conscious, long lasting and best of all it does what you want your deodorant to do.
