Product Review: Huggies Nourishing Disposable Washcloths

Huggies, Nourishing, Washcloth

There are many products on the market that are created to cleanse your baby, toddler and/or children. I have tried numerous amounts of these products over the last ten years and only two of these products have ever turned me into a loyal user – Huggies Nourishing Wash and Huggies Nourishing Disposable Washcloths, both with Mango, Coconut & Aloe. For this review I will be discussing the Huggies Nourishing Dispoasble Washcloths with Mango, Coconut & Aloe.

When I had first heard that Huggies had come out with a disposable washcloth I thought it was an interesting idea, but not really for me. Luckily I had received a really good coupon on the product so I decided to try it out. The Huggies Nourishing Disposable Washcloths come in a flip-top box and are available in fourteen and twenty count boxes. Each cloth is approximately 8 x 7 inches in size, a very nice size when using to bath your wiggly toddler. Each cloth has an ample dose of baby wash right in it. You just wet the cloth to activate the bubbles.

The first thing that you notice, when you open the box for the first time, is how cloth-like the disposable washcloths look and feel. I expected something similar to a baby wipe, but these washcloths are much thicker and feel more like cloth than a baby wipe. The next thing that you will notice is the scent. The mango and coconut scents are so sweet together. They are not overwhelming in any way and are not so weak that you are wondering where the scent disappeared to.

Once you decide to use the Huggies Disposable Washcloth for the first time you may be worried about how well it will lather and if it will have enough of the baby wash in it to complete the job. Well, there’s no need to worry! The Huggies Disposable Washcloth has enough baby wash in it to clean at least three children, thoroughly, before the baby wash starts running out. I have actually used one of the disposable washclothes on my toddler, set it aside for my other two daughters and still had enough baby wash left in it to wipe down a corner of the tub. The washcloth is filled to the gills with the sweet smelling baby wash and you will not have to worry about not having enough to wash your child from head to toe.

One thing to consider with the amount of baby wash in the Huggies Disposable Washcloth is the amount of baby wash that you could be wasting if you are only bathing one small child. If you only have one infant and no other child to bathe then you may want to consider cutting each of the disposable washcloths in half before using them. By doing this you will double the total amount of uses that you will get out of the box of 14. You will turn it into a box of 28 instead. That’s over a month’s worth of baths for your little one.

The baby wash in the Huggies Disposable Washcloths is, of course, tear-free and you can even use it on your child’s hair too. The baby wash leaves my toddler’s skin feeling so soft and smooth that I don’t need to put any lotion on her afterwards. The mango and coconut scent even lingers on her little body for several hours after her bath, without any of the effects that she usually has from scented bath products (itchy skin, etc.).

The Huggies Disposable Washcloths are even great to take along. You can pack them in the diaper bag. You can take them on vacation. You can even just leave some in the car for emergencies like diaper blow-outs, spilled drinks, dirty hands, etc. I like to place a few of the Huggies Disposable Washcloths in a zippered kitchen storage bag and just toss them into the glove compartment of my minivan. All that is required is a little water and you’re in business with these great washcloths.

The toughness of the Huggies Disposable Washcloths can’t be compared. There is a nice, soft texture to the washcloths and they are very thick. You won’t have to worry about accidentally ripping on to shreds while bathing your child. I have yet to cause one little tear in any of the Huggies Disposable Washcloths that I’ve used.

The Huggies Disposable Washcloths with Mango, Coconut & Aloe are tough, smell great, store easily, have an abundant amount of baby wash and they get the job done easily and quickly. You will not be disppointed!
