Product Review: Evenflo Take Me Too Twin Stroller

Evenflo

Having twins involves more than just employing twice the patience as a singlet parent. Twins require special bedding and equipment. A twin capable stroller will be one of the first major purchases for a parent of twins. The Evenflo Take Me Too Twin Stroller is not the stroller to be chosen.

The Evenflo Take Me Too Stroller does offer two seats, supposedly for twins, but the front seating is far less roomy than the back seating. With a total stroller weight capacity of 100 lbs, I was sure both seats would be able to hold a 50 lb child. My assumption caused me to lose the money I spent on the stroller. By the time my twins weighed 35 lbs, the front seat was too small for either of them.

The under storage on the Evenflo Take Me Too Stroller also leaves a lot to be desired, like space. Again, twins require twice as much stuff as singlets, yet most singlet strollers have more than enough undercarriage storage space. The Evenflo Take Me Too Twin Stroller is a huge storage let down.

Yet another negative I found, while using the Evenflo Take Me Too Twin Stroller, was the arm reach. If the person pushing the stroller is more than the average woman’s height, pushing the stroller is near impossible. My husband is 6’5″ tall and can not reach the handles to push the babies when we take the Evenflo Take Me Too Stroller on trips.

If you are trying to purchase a stroller with maneuverability, you should think twice about buying this stroller. The four wheels are too small to handle the width and length of the unit. Turning is a struggle and any surface, other than a paved surface, is out of reach for the Evenflo Take Me Too Stroller.

While the Evenflo Take Me Too Stroller seems to be made of only negatives, there are a few positives to report as well.

The unit is priced very affordably. Many double, tandem and twin strollers will cost upwards of $250.00. This Evenflo model only costs around $125.00.

The tandem twin stroller is always easier to fit in tight spaces and through door openings. Side by side twin strollers are rarely able to fit anywhere, other than outside, without being folded down. The Evenflo Take Me Too Twin Stroller did not have this trouble.

The customer service department is satisfactory as well. When the caps holding the wheels in place fell off, it was easy to find the customer service information online and order the replacement parts. But, the parts were not free and cost nearly $15.00 with shipping to repair two wheels.

Shopping for a double, twin or tandem stroller should not be a stressful event. If you want quality, you will need to pay for quality. While this Evenflo Take Me Too Twin Stroller is affordable, it is not a good stroller. The many negatives including lack of space, small seating and bad design, lead this product to only 2 out of 5 stars. Do not buy the Evenflo Take Me Too Twin Stroller.
