Product Review: Coppertone’s Gradual Tan Sunless Tanning Lotion

Coppertone, Sunless Tanning, Sunless Tanning Lotion, Tanning Lotions

Trying to achieve the perfect tan while saving your skin can be a hard task to accomplish. Of the many sunless tanning lotions on the market, Coppertone’s Gradual Tan Sunless Tanning Lotion is one of the best. Combining ease of use with true streak-free tanning makes this sunless tanning lotion score four and a half out of five stars in my book.

Sunless tanning lotions have moved from being jokes in the tanning market, to front-runners in every woman’s beauty regiment. Being able to control a beautiful ozone free tan is important to anyone concerned with skin health. Sunless tanning lotions like Coppertone’s Gradual Tan Sunless Tanning Lotion raise the bar for the rest of the market, but like any product, there are PROS and CONS.

PROS:

Streak-free Tanning:

This is one of the few sunless tanning lotions I have tried that actually backs up this claim. I tried the product for over a week and during this time I deliberately left certain areas untreated by the sunless tanning lotion and on other occasions did not rub the lotion in all the way. No matter what I did, there was never a streak, not one.

Quick Drying:

Over the trail period, this sunless tanning lotion dried more quickly than any in my past. I made sure to dress immediately after applying the sunless tanning lotion, contrary to the directions, and it never tainted the coloring on my skin or my clothing.

Gradual Tanning:

Unlike other sunless tanning lotions on the market, this lotion took an entire week to achieve a golden, noticeable tan. While other products I have used have worked more quickly, the result from this sunless tanning lotion was far more natural.

Moisturizing and Scent:

The level of moisturization and beautiful scent brought by Coppertone’s Gradual Tan Sunless Tanning Lotion made me want to use the product everyday. As a daily moisturizer, it worked just as well as any lotion I previously used. After I achieved the tan level I wanted from this sunless tanning lotion, I mixed one-half sunless tanning lotion and one-half regular lotion and used that daily. I kept a perfect tan everyday.

CONS:

Price:

One of only two cons I could find for Coppertone’s Gradual Tan Sunless Tanning Lotion was the price. As with most sunless tanning lotions on the market, it was offered for nearly $7.00 for 9 ounces. Though the sunless tanning lotion lasted nearly a month, I still did not like the price.

Toes, Toes, Toes:

Even though this sunless tanning lotion made sure to warn you about using less product on elbows, knees and heels, they forgot about FEET. When applying this sunless tanning lotion to your feet and toes, mix one-half sunless tanning lotion and one-half regular lotion to keep your feet looking naturally tan. When the Coppertone’s Gradual Tan Sunless Tanning Lotion was used full strength on the feet, it left them noticeably darker than other parts of the leg.

My overall idea about sunless tanning lotions was certainly changed with this product. Coppertone’s Gradual Tan Sunless Tanning Lotion will help you achieve the perfect summer tan while saving your skin. It receives a whopping four and a half out of five stars.
