Product Review: Bright Starts Tropical Smiles Around We Go

Sea Star

With so many baby entertainers out there to choose from, how do you know which one is best for your baby? After much deliberation and research my husband and I decided on the Bright Stars Tropical Smiles Around We Go. In this review of the product I will tell you the good and the bad features surrounding this product.

The very first thing I like about this product is it’s versatility. The Tropical Smiles Around We Go absolutely grows with your child. A child as young as 4 months of age (depending on if the child can support their self) can begin to enjoy this product. The product has a chair that not only can go around the activity table but can also rotate 360 degrees. Your baby will not be limited to what he or she can see. Later when baby is ready to start walking the seat comes off and the entertainer now turns into a snack and activity table!

The activity table features a piano, a bubbly sea star, a whale go round and a snack tray as some of its main features. The seat cover is machine washable and easily goes in and out as cleaning is needed. The snack tray also comes off the table for easy cleaning and is dishwasher safe. The table also features a centerpiece with a hanging monkey, a teether in the shape of a palm tree a moving fish and a Dolphin rattle that spins.

One thing I really liked about this product is the fact that essentially it is a walker but with boundaries. Many Doctors discourage use of the traditional walkers for safety reasons. This particular walker/entertainer doesn’t fold down like traditional walkers, which to me is more safe. Another thing I like about this product is that it is so entertaining! My son absolutely loved it as a baby playing in it from the time he was four months old till about 10 months when he out grew it. Putting him in the entertainer/walker I could easily leave the room briefly if needed and not worry that he would be able to get into something.

Two things I did not like about the product was the initial setup and the rubber feet falling off. I would estimate putting this product together took a good hour to hour and a half. Many of the pieces didn’t seem to fit together initially. After some time and much “woman” power I was able to get everything together. Another thing I didn’t like was that the rubber feet on the bottom of the product would fall off, allowing the table slide across the floor. However with some glue the feet are now secure and have not come off.

Overall I would have to give this product a 4.5 out of 5. My son loves this entertainer. He plays with it still at nearly 14 months old, using it as an activity table. I would definitely encourage other Moms to buy this product. In fact I’m not the only one who enjoys this product. Out of 17 reviews on the target website 16 Moms gave it 5 out of 5 stars! This is truly a wonderful product worth investing in!
