Build a dam: Provide your preschool students with several long and narrow card board boxes, or some other “logs”, and let them carry them from one end of the room or playground to another in order to build a dam.
Art Center Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Beaver
Beaver and dam art: Give each of your preschool students a large sheet of white construction paper. Let them finger paint a river onto the paper with blue finger paint. Then let them glue several pretzel sticks onto the page, making a dam. Now let them use brown crayons or markers to draw beaver at the dam. Maybe some of the beaver will be carrying pretzel logs to the dam.

Pre-math Center Activity for Preschool Lesson Plan: Beaver
Set out the letters b-e-a-v-e-r that you have previously cut from felt or laminated construction paper. Put out an example of the word beaver for your students to use as a guide. Have them set out the letters, properly spelling the word beaver. Instruct your preschool students to count the number of letters in the word beaver. Now have your preschool students count out 6 beaver shapes or beaver tails to set beneath the 6 lettered word.
Pre-writing Center Activities for Preschool Lesson Plan: Beaver
For younger students, provide sheets of paper with the letters B and b lightly printed on them. Have the children trace the letters. Do the same with the number 6.
For older students, provide an example of the letters B and b and the number 6. Have the students practice writing the letters and number freehand.
Write the word beaver on your preschool classroom’s white erase board. Let your students copy the word beaver on the white board with brown dry erase markers.
