Pocahontas Themed Party Favors for Kids

Jewelry Making, Jewelry Making Supplies, Native American Crafts, Pocahontas

Is your child a fan of the Disney film “Pocahontas?” If so, you may want to consider planning a “Pocahontas” themed party this year. In my experience, a “Pocahontas” themed party would work well for both boys and girls. I also happen to know of a handful of party favors that would fit in with a “Pocahontas” theme. Here’s a quick look at a few of them:

Native American Crafts

In my opinion, Native American crafts would make superlative “Pocahontas” themed party favors. I’d suggest that you purchase Native American crafts that the children could complete during the party. That way it also eliminates the need for an extra party activity. There is a wide array of Native American craft kits to choose from. I’d suggest that you consider having the kids make a beaded Indian corn pin. It is made out of small beads, raffia, buttons and ribbon. Oriental Trading sells a kit that contains all the supplies needed to make the craft project. In my experience, a dozen craft kits will tend to cost you less than $6.

Pocahontas Cookies

Would you rather hand out edible party favors to your pint size Pocahontas fans? There are a few companies that still sell Pocahontas themed cookie cutters. One of them is Confectionary House. The company usually sells sets of Pocahontas cookie cutters for less than $5 each. The sets include cookie cutters that represent Pocahontas, Captain John Smith and Miko.

Pocahontas Chocolate Pops

Pocahontas themed chocolate pops would also undoubtedly be a big hit with the kids. If you do decide to make Pocahontas themed chocolate pops, you’ll want to look for generic, Native American related candy molds. There are several companies that make adorable Indian princess lollipop molds. The molds feature an Indian princess standing in front of the moon. You can generally purchase Indian princess lollipop molds through confectionary shops, like Sugarcraft, for less than $2 each. Other candy molds to consider are ones that represent Indian chiefs, raccoons, pilgrims, willow trees and hummingbirds.

Pocahontas Jewelry

Last but not least, you may want to consider giving your party guests Pocahontas jewelry. The Disney store sells sets of Pocahontas jewelry for $11 each. I’d suggest that you buy one set to use as a model and then make your own using jewelry making supplies. Jewelry making supplies are typically available for purchase through craft stores and jewelry making supply shops. Prices for the supplies are apt to vary greatly. Therefore, I’d suggest that you shop around and buy in bulk.
