Plantar Fasciitis Home Remedy

Foot Pain, Orthotics, Plantar Fasciitis

As a former plantar fasciitis sufferer, yes I did say former, I have learned a cheap fix for this special foot pain. I can sympathize with anyone who dreads those first few painful steps in the morning when you get out of bed. Sometimes it lingers longer than others. And sometimes the pain can rear its ugly head when you have been sitting for a while or any situation that your foot is not warmed up from use.

If you are traveling down this road of remedy searches, you have probably tried several things. And costs can add up quickly. This quick and easy plantar fasciitis remedy will only cost you a dollar and ten minutes. Its not in the health aisle either. You will surprisingly find it in the beauty section.

Cures that help some of the people some of the time

I tried customized orthotics that I wore in my shoes for a while that seemed to cause more problems than I began with. I got them altered every two weeks but ended up with pain in different and additional places in my foot. The Strassburg Sock helped some but it wasn’t that comfortable to sleep in. Its a sock with a strap that pulls your foot toward your shin that helps stretch out the bottom of your foot. My foot felt a little better but I was not well rested, so not worth the trade off.

Another thing that was recommended to me by my doctor was stretching. I did towel stretches and rolled cans of different sizes and frozen water bottles on the bottom of my feet to stretch out the fascia. I also did several stretching exercises every day especially geared toward plantar fasciitis sufferers. I was the most limber I had been in ages. My toes touches progressed to the point where I could even palm the floor which surprised me greatly. But I sill limped out of bed every morning.

Then I went for the last resort, the cortizone shot. Yes, it burned but it was not worth dreading the pain for two years while I tried other things. It did help for a while but the plantar fasciitis pain came back.

Home remedy that helped me quickly

Of all the hours I spent reading and researching a plantar fasciitis cure or remedy, my lightbulb moment came by surprise. In the As Seen on TV section of a store I saw Yoga Toes. Yoga Toes is a small bubbled ladder that goes between your toes to stretch out the ligaments and tendons in your foot side to side. But it was $30. So I wondered if I could think of something else that would stretch out my feet in the same way but cheaper. Then I thought of the foam pedicure toe separators. So I went to the beauty supply section of the store near the nail polish. They were only $1 a pair. So, I thought I would give it a whirl. When I got home I put one on each foot for about ten minutes. It was a different type stretch than I had done before. It felt good but I didn’t know if it would work or not. I was pleasantly surprised that it actually took the edge off the pain, a huge edge. It took a few days of doing it just ten minutes at a time and my feet never felt better.

I have found that the perfect combination for me that got rid of my plantar fasciitis problem was two things; wearing good quality shoes, and if I started to feel the pain trying to come back I just pop my foam toe separators on. Not only do I feel like I am getting a mini spa treatment , but my feet feel great and are pain free. So if you are searching for a cheap and easy plantar fasciitis home remedy you could try the pedicure foam toe separators. Your feet may thank you in the morning.
