Decorating the party area with a Pokemon tablecloth, Pokemon plates and cups, and Pokemon pictures on the walls will add to the Pokemon atmosphere of the party.

You can print pictures of Pokemon characters from the internet to hang on the walls.

Use a lot of balloons for decorations, to make the party really colorful.

Pokemon Party Games

The Pikachu piñata is a very popular game for Pokemon birthday parties. You can look at party supply stores for a Pikachu piñata or you can make your own.

PIN THE TAIL ON THE POKEMON

Pin the tail on the Pokemon is a variation of the popular pin the tail on the donkey game. Whoever pins the tail on the Pokemon gets a prize. The prize can be candy or a Pokemon toy. Follow these directions to make this fun game:

1) Print a full page-sized picture of a Pokemon character from the internet.

2) Glue the picture to a foam poster board.

3) Glue ribbon to a plastic ended tack to make the Pokemon tail. Match the ribbon to the Pokemon character. (Supervise the kids when they play the game to make sure they don’t poke themselves with the tack).

4) Use a bandana or any cloth as a blindfold.

FIND THE POKEMON

Hide a Pokemon toy. Whoever finds the Pokemon toy first, gets a prize.

Or

Hide a bunch of Pokemon toys and whoever finds the most toys gets a prize.

MAKE A POKEMON MASK

Before the party, cut eyeholes in paper plates and glue one Popsicle stick to each plate to make a handle. Make extras, in case the kid’s mess up and want another plate.

Give each kid a plate and crayons and tell them to draw their favorite Pokemon character. When the kids are done, they can hold the mask up to their face, using the Popsicle stick as a handle. The kids will have a blast playing with their masks.

Pokemon Gift Bags

Pokemon gift bags are easy to make. You can find fill-it-yourself Pokemon gift bags at party supply stores or online. Fill the gift bags with candy and Pokemon stickers.

Extras

Have a Pokemon movie on hand for when the kids get tired. Put the movie on after the kids have, eaten, played games and opened presents.
