Planning a Karaoke Birthday Party for Girls

Karaoke Music, Karaoke Party, New Years Eve Party Ideas

Girls love to sing karaoke. They’re natural entertainers. How about a karaoke party for a girls birthday? This birthday party idea is probably best for outgoing teens or younger girls who have no inhibitions yet. Imagine the fun girls will have at their very own Karaoke party!

You’ll need a karaoke machine for the girls to use.

These are surprisingly inexpensive. I’ve seen them for under 100.00. This would be a great birthday gift to give at the party. Karaoke machines come with a microphone, but it might be a good idea to buy a second one so shy girls can sing duets. An inexpensive microphone can be had for as little as 10.00. You can also rent karaoke machines.

A small stage can be built for the party.

Support plywood sheets with cinder blocks. Outdoors is best but indoors is OK too. Just be sure to put fabric under the cinder blocks to protect floors and carpets. Drape bright fabric over the plywood. Spray with glitter for a party effect. Girls will love performing on their very own stage at the karaoke birthday party.

Lighting is essential at a karaoke party.

Look for disco balls and other fun light effects at department stores. Most have a good selection. Another idea is to buy colored light bulbs. Paper the wall behind the stage temporarily with aluminum foil to reflect the lighting. Girls will feel like they are at a real karaoke bar. If the party is outdoors, use garden party lights. Don’t forget the canopy in case of rain.

Now we need music.

Most department stores have a wide selection of inexpensive karaoke CD’s. Bring a couple girls with you to help pick out the music. If this is a surprise birthday party, bring your daughter’s friends to help you. Remember this is not your birthday party. Let girls pick the karaoke music they like best. This karaoke party may get a little pricey but remember, these are items are a birthday gift that will be used for more than one night.

Food and drinks are a must for any birthday party.

Pizza is a hit with everyone. Order it, make your own or let girls assemble mini pizzas to their taste. For drinks, how about virgin cocktails made with fruit juice and clear soda? Have cherries, lemon and lime slices available for the girls drink garnishes. Set up a little karaoke bar drink station. Provide bar stools where guests can pretend to be customers and order their drinks. Serving as the bartender and waitress allows Dad and Mom to keep an eye on the birthday guests without being intrusive.

This momentous birthday party must be preserved in history.

Make sure your camera or smart phone is ready to use. After the party, make an album on the birthday girl’s Facebook page for the girls to remember the karaoke birthday party by.

Note: Make it clear that girls don’t have to sing at the karaoke birthday party. Write it into the invitation. Sing, dance, or just watch but please come to my karaoke birthday party for girls! This eliminates stress for shy birthday party guests.
