Is there any place in the southwest portion of Arizona you can find a slice of home? Sure, Tucson Arizona is not only famous for its law’s, we have great places to eat.

In Tucson the slow economy has only been a bump in the road for one small business. They serve up taste that might remind you of another larger city, maybe even back east. Chariot Pizza with two locations can be found by travelers coming in from the Airport or on the NW side of town. You can dine in, take home or have it delivered.

Neither spot is glamour enticing. For a small Pizza and sandwich shop, they focus on food and not décor. They have a delivery service available for everyone who enjoys a great pizza in your own environment.

Chariot’s menu has six specialty pizzas. Rocky’s special includes pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms. The Big & Meaty pizza, loads up meat lovers with what many are craving – with nice sized pepperoni, sausage, ham bacon and extra cheese. This baby brings on the flavors. Next they offer the Chariot’s supreme with green peppers, black olives, extra cheese, onions, ham, sausage, mushrooms.

For those who prefer vegetables only, they offer the Vegetarian Delight this one is loaded up with onions, mushrooms. Red bell peppers, tomatoes’, spinach, minced garlic and feta cheese this is served on a garlic butter crust sprinkled with Oregano. The last two pizzas they offer are The Gourmet with 5 toppings and 5 gourmet toppings. Our favorite is the Greek Pizza layered with tomatoes, onions, black olives, feta cheese, Gyro meat and mozzarella cheese.

If pizza is not what you’re looking for, glance at their sandwiches. They offer five gourmets and eight regular gourmets. They also have Greek specials including Gyros with a delicious combination of pure beef and lamb combined with spices, served on fresh pita bread with fresh tomatoes’, onions, with a special cucumber sauce. A second choice may be a Gyros platter.

They offer Italian specialties like Manicotti rolled crepe stuffed with Ricotta, Romano and Mozzarella cheese. Spaghetti touted as “the staple of all Italians”, loaded with meatballs or a choice of sausage. Lasagna Al Forno, large wide pasta with alternating layers of Beef, Ricotta and Mozzarella cheeses. Rounding off their dinner’s they offer Chicken Parmigianino and Eggplant Parmigianino dinner. I nearly forgot you will want to try their Calzone’s. These are folded over bread stuffed with Ricotta cheese and Mozzarella or add a topping for a couple bucks more.

They have a nice selection of salads available as well. Chariot Pizza offer’s multiple side orders range from Buffalo bites, French fries, jalapeno’ poppers, chips dips, and another favorite that my wife enjoys – Baklava. This tiny sweet will have her singing in no time.

Prices for pizzas range from $10.99 to $24.99. Sandwiches will put you out from about $6.00 to nearly $8.00. Their dinners are around $8.00. Free delivery if you are located within their zones. A phone call away Chariot Pizza is one of our better places to experience a taste of heaven. I am not so sure about calorie counting here. Gratuity is not added in unless you make the request at the time of using your credit card.
