Philosophy 3 in 1 Wash… Is It Worth the Price?

Shop at Home

Philosophy has a large line of bath products, as well as fragrances, and make-up. Each product has a unique touch, and delightful fragrance. Like their 32 oz Margarita 3 in 1 body wash. However, are they worth the cost? That’s something that you will have to decide on your own.

All of Philosophy’s 3 in 1 body wash smells great, that is a fact. However you can expect to pay at least $25.00 plus shipping and handling for each 32 ounce bottle, and that price happens to be a quoted sale price. The 3 in 1 wash claims to serve 3 purposes. First it is a body wash, second it’s also a bubble bath, and finally it claims to be a shampoo. But does it work?

I personally bought 2 bottles of the 3 in 1 body wash off from a popular shop at home program, QVC. This bath wash does lather up good, and as I mentioned before, it smelt great. At first I found the product provided me with a very relaxing bath. With only a coin size amount on a sponge, I was covered in suds. The smell just seems to calm the spirit, and make the days troubles fade away. I personally don’t even like drinking Margarita’s, but loved the smell. Unfortunately, that feeling of complete relaxation ended as soon as I stepped out of the tub. The fragrance doesn’t last long at all, as a matter of fact, by the time I was dry, there was no scent at all. It also left my skin feeling very dry, which required a full body application of lotion. When I used the product as a shampoo, it left my hair feeling dried out, and unmanageable, causing me the pain staking task of rewashing, and conditioning it, an hour later. Needless to say the remainder of one bottle is still in the bathroom, and I returned the unused bottle for a full refund.

There is another product on the market which is similar to Philosophy, and for the most part produces the same results, and that is Landers 3 in 1. You can find this product at most discount stores, and drug stores such as Walmart, and Walgreens. The only difference is, Landers 3 in 1 only cost a couple of dollars. I was able to buy a bottle at Walgreens for $3.99. I do love the smell, so I use it to refill the hand soap bottles. As a body wash, it leaves you with dry skin, and the smell doesn’t last long.

I would strongly suggest that any new Philosophy user purchase a sample size bottle, before investing a lot of money. If you already have dry skin, both the Philosophy, and Lander products will only make your condition worse. I truly do not understand how this company continues to sell these bath products at these outrageous prices. I will admit that the packaging is very stylish, and trendy, I only wish the product was equally as good. Is it too much to ask for a fruity bath wash that leaves your skin soft? Perhaps there is one in the making that I’m not aware of.
