Page’ Up Paper Holder Product Review

Often, when I review a product, it has a good side and a bad side, positive and negative. It is rare for me to have something for which I only have good things to say. The “Page’ Up” paper holder does fall into this category.

Working for a court system I often must travel, with a laptop computer, and type from docket sheets, witness sheets, etc.. I have tried many contraptions to hold these papers up so that I may read them while I entering information.

Most of these devices were bulky, cumbersome and broke almost as soon as I started using them them. Usually they involved some ridiculous thingamajig which attached to the computer screen and tried to hold the paper. None of them really worked that well and I could never move the papers around to where I really wanted them to be.

One day, while standing in line at a book store, I saw a small, blue, plastic, half-ball looking thingy with a half moon slit in it. The package proclaimed it to be a “Page’ Up” and the best paper holder ever (or some words to that effect). I sneered at it and my gazed moved on to the magazines. As I continued to stand there, it was a long wait, I took another look at this “Page’ Up” cock-a-maimy.

I took it out of the package and held it in my hand. It is a half oval of plastic with a rounded slit in it and it appears to be filled with sand, or some similar substance for weight. There are four rubberized feet on the bottom.

It is simple. You slightly bend your paper, up to 15 sheets, and place it in the slit. It will stand upright so that you may read from it. The Page’ Up itself is small enough that it may be carried anywhere and there are no parts to break. Since it is not attached to the computer you may place it anywhere you wish on your desktop near the computer screen.

I now carry one of these in my briefcase, have one sitting on my desk at home and I had one on my desk at work but someone stole it. My wife and teenaged daughter use the one at home extensively. They are available in a wide variety of colors and designs and are even available with clocks built into them.

I would not be without my Page’ Up in my job. The thing makes it so much easier to enter information onto my computer. If you need something to hold up papers for you to read from (this might also be good for sheet music) the Page’ Up is simple and reliable.
