Orange Hill Restaurant: A Wonderful Sunday Brunch

Restaurant Service

Orange Hill Restaurant
6410 E. Chapman Avenue
Orange, CA 92869

For Reservations: 714-997-2910

I visited Orange Hill Restaurant in Orange, California, for its Sunday brunch. Here is my review of this fine-dining establishment.

Upon turning onto the driveway of Orange Hill Restaurant in Orange, you get the sudden feeling that you are going to a special place. The driveway is long and steep and takes you up to the restaurant sitting on top of the highest hill in the Orange Hills. When you reach the top, the valet service immediately comes to great you and you are shown the service only a fine dining restaurant can provide.

APPEARANCE

The entry walkway is a shaded path, with lots of foliage. A small bridge allows you to walk over the large coy pond. It was a nice setting and many couples were stopping to take pictures with the beautiful background.

The lobby of the restaurant was clean, dimly lit, and somewhat romantic. One wall had a table with an album and information about wedding reception and banquet services that can be provided by the Orange Hill Restaurant.

SERVICE

Our reservation for brunch was at 1:30 pm. and we were seated within 5 minutes of arriving at the restaurant. Our server came to greet us immediately and asked if we would like champagne or any juice, which he served to us promptly. We stated to him that we had not been to the restaurant before and he quickly and politely ran through the layout of the restaurant and let us know how the brunch worked and where everything was located. As I reviewed the service of the staff, I noticed that everyone did their part to make the experience a pleasant one.

TASTE / QUALITY OF FOOD

I have heard many people talk about the Orange Hill Restaurant and the quality of the food and was excited to get a chance to try it and give my honest review. I found the brunch to be excellent. There was an abundant amount of choices of breakfast and lunch items.

Here’s just a few of the offerings for breakfast:

Cooked to Order – Omelet Bar
Hand carved ham and roast beef
French toast w/strawberries, syrup, and whip cream as optional toppings
Bacon
Sausage
Eggs Benedict
Various Fruits and Breakfast breads
And many more items.

Here’s a few of the ample lunch choices:
BBQ to Order: Pork Ribs, Japanese Beef Ribs, Marinated Sirloin Steak, Sausage, Bratwurst
Fresh Sushi Bar
Fresh Seafood Bar including King Crab legs
Stir Fry Station
Mashed Potatoes
Chicken and Beef dishes
Various Salads and Pastas
And much, much more.

Additionally, the Orange Hill Restaurant brunch had a kid’s station. There were kid’s favorites such as chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, mini corn dogs, candy, yogurt, ice cream sandwiches, cereal, and much more.

As far as the taste and quality is concerned, I liked everything that I tried as did everyone else in my party. If you like Beef I definitely suggest trying the Marinated Sirloin Steak from the BBQ. They give you a large steak, barbecue it to your liking and even cut it up for you. The taste was amazing, and I don’t think that I have had better anywhere else. When you think of brunch you think of several selections and buffet style (not good quality). This is completely the opposite at the Orange Hill Restaurant. There were too many choices to try everything, and the quality and taste was amazing.

PRICE

Adults – $32.95
Kids (Ages 3-11) – $14.95

The prices are a little high for my liking. However, for the taste, quality and quantity of food, it wasn’t bad at all. The steak and seafood alone could cost that much at another restaurant.

OVERALL OPINION

In writing this review, I tried to find something, anything wrong with the brunch at the Orange Hill Restaurant, however, there was nothing that I had a problem with. My overall experience was great, and our group is still talking about what a wonderful meal we had at the Orange Hill Restaurant. We will definitely all be returning to this fine restaurant.
