Navy Pier Summer Firework’s Shows in Chicago

Chicago’s summer skies will be lit up with fireworks on Wednesday and Saturday nights. From Memorial Day through Labor Day there will be a spectacular fireworks display above the lake front. Watching a fireworks show is a romantic, dynamic way to end a day in the city.

Fireworks at Navy Pier will take place on Wednesdays at 9:30 pm and Saturday’s at 10:15 pm. While the fireworks are lighting up the sky, there will be music soundtracks accompanying the show. The Wednesday night fireworks are presented by Pepsi and Jack FM. The Saturday night fireworks are presented by Pepsi and B96. The musical entertainment on Wednesday nights will be decade oriented. In June the music of the ’70’s will be features. In July the music of the ’80’s will be featured. In August the music of the ’90’s will be featured. On Saturday night hometown music will celebrate Chicago.

On Saturday, July 28, Venetian Night will take place, so the fireworks show will not take place.

The fireworks take place at Navy Pier, where there is always something to do. There are more that 50 acres of parks, promenades, gardens, shops, restaurants and attractions. There are plenty of family oriented events and attractions.

Pier Park on Navy Pier features outdoor attractions including a ferris wheel, musical carousel, an old-fashioned swing ride and 18 hole miniature golf course and more.

The Navy Pier Ferris Wheel, presented by McDonald’s is a 150 foot height Ferris wheel with 7 minute rides. The Navy Pier Ferris wheel was modeled after the very first one, which was built for the 1893 World Colombian Exposition held in Chicago. There are views of the skyline and lake front from the gondolas, which seat six passengers each.

The Musical Carousel was designed especially for Navy Pier, to recreate the Pier’s golden age of the 1920’s. The carousel has 36 hand painted animals of different styles. Horses, chariots and a playful frog are just some of the carousel figures.

Chicago’s Best Beer Garden on Navy Pier is featuring live music from Wednesday to Sunday nights. All summer long, The Beer Garden will bring in the best of Chicago’s live music scene, including rock, blues, jazz, soul, salsa R&B; and more. The beer garden is a great place to get a bird’s eye view of the fireworks.

The fireworks are visible from Navy Pier and anywhere where there is a clear view of the city skies. A great view of the fireworks can be seen from the dinner cruise ships that take off from Navy Pier. These cruise ships are experienced at offering a spectacular experience for their guests. The cruises include dinner and entertainment. Cash bars are available. The boats take off from Navy Pier and travel up and down the lake front of Lake Michigan, viewing the skyline. Navy Pier draws visitors from the local area and is a major attraction for visitors to the city. There is a fun, carnival-like atmosphere, with lots of people and things to do. Food, drinks, shopping and entertainment are always available at Navy Pier. The fireworks shows make nights at Navy Pier extra special.
