Morano’s Gourmet Deli is located on Main street in Ramsey, N.J. The moment you step inside Morano’s the wonderful smells surround you. It’s amazing, you don’t have to go to Brooklyn or Little Italy for good Italian food with a place like Morano’s in the neigborhood. Morano’s Deli is large, clean, bright and well laid out. There is a deli counter for to go items on the right and walls of wonderful gourmet items, spreads, pastries, spices, oils and candies on shelves on the remaining walls. You can get beautifull, unusual dried pastas that are home made at Morano’s, The pasta comes in all kinds of interesting varieties and is home made.

In the center of the store there are tables and chairs for dining. There is also outdoor eating both in front of the store and in the rear. The rear area has clear plastic sheeting as protective walls to keep weather out. Both areas are nice in good weather although the front is right on the street so you deal with passing traffic .Te front eating area is also near the rail road tracks so noise will be an issue. The back eating area faces a parking lot so that isn’t very pretty but the plastic sheeting helps hide this problem a bit. It’s still nice to be able to eat outside if you choose and the food is so good it makes up for the lack of scenery outside. It’s one of the few places in Ramsey where you can sit outside and eat.
