Because it is brand new to the market, and I assume the company is eager for consumers to get a chance to try it, we got a package containing two 1.7-ounce containers of Degree Clinical Protection deodorant. Since it was labeled as being for men, I gave it to my husband. The following information is based on the results of my husband’s testing of this product. I will be testing the women’s version shortly and give my impressions of that.

This product is supposed to be among the strongest protection against wetness (sweat) available without a prescription. My husband has a tendency to break out when using unfamiliar anti-perspirant products so he was a bit wary at first. The fact that this was dermatologist tested with clinical results was a plus in his opinion.
He gave it a try. It is noted to have a clean fragrance, not overpowering and we found this to be true. The unique twistable dispenser was something that seemed unusual to both of us, allowing more control over the release of any deodorant. The promotional information claims that the TRIsolid formula acclimates to the body, plugging sweat glands and forming a deep level of protection.Another unique feature: it is supposed to be applied at night and will last all through the next day, even after showering.

My husband was very pleasantly surprised. He never broke out, not once, in over two weeks of daily use (in the past, he’d break out within a day) The fragrance was indeed clean but not strong. It did not sting, itch or bother him. It did take him a while to get used to the dispenser which allowed him to twist the bottom of the container and get just the right amount of creamy lotion onto his body. Once he did, he preferred it over the old version he had been using which was a solid. There are holes in the dispenser for Degree Clinical Protection which keeps the cream coming out in small pieces, not large, gooey blobs. He did apply it at night, as suggested, and found that it did indeed stay on when showering, if desired. He could also remove it by applying soap and scrubbing and drying off vigorously in the areas where he wanted to remove the product. Upon application, the texture is creamy but dries quickly. While I was not the user (my husband was), I appreciated the fact that it left no stains on his clothing and that the scent was pleasing, not strong.
Normal retail price is $14.15 for two containers, which may seem pricey but we found the product to be superior to others on the market. My husband felt it offered better protection for a longer period of time than any he’d tried before. Considering the time, energy and cost of washing sweaty clothing, this could save money in the long run. It can also be found on Ebay but the price is comparable, probably because this is a new product and not easy to find everywhere yet.

This is ideal for any man who works outside or has normal or excessive amounts of sweating during the day, whether inside or outside. We found that it truly did provide more confidence for longer periods of time, making frequent showering unnecessary. It should appeal to anyone who likes products that have been dermatologist tested and offer strong protection without a prescription. The clinical studies should also be reassuring to many customers. Degree Clinical Protection: Overall satisfaction and summary
We felt this was indeed a major advantage over other products. The recommended application is two clicks from the dispenser and my husband found this more than adequate. Do be sure and remove the plastic film before using as it is the only thing that is not readily visible and would prevent the cream from coming out the tiny holes at the top. With over two weeks of use, there is still plenty left and the product lived up to its claims, causing no skin irritation, staying on all day, offering superior protection and, in our opinion, being very cost-effective. It wasn’t necessary to spot treat clothing for sweat stains, saving time and energy. All in all, we were totally satisfied.
