Deodorant to Stop Underarm Wetness

Excessive Perspiration, Perspiration, Secret Clinical Strength

Many antiperspirant deodorant products claim to stop wetness, but as you’ve probably discovered, they don’t all work as promised. Although product labeling and advertising promises to stop wetness, many antiperspirant deodorant products only really work to stop odor. Armpits and clothing become soaked with excess wetness, and even though offensive odors are effectively prevented, the wetness can be very irritating, uncomfortable, unsightly, and embarrassing. An otherwise attractive blouse or shirt can actually appear soiled when underarms are covered in wetness, and lighter colors can become permanently stained by continual underarm wetness.

Product Claims and Active Ingredients

I recently received a sample of a new antiperspirant deodorant in the mail called Secret Clinical Strength, and I was anxious to give it a try. The product label claims that Secret Clinical Strength offers triple layer protection, and it claims to be extra effective at stopping wetness. It contains 20% (anhydrous) aluminum zirconium trichlorohydrex GLY. Even though the label claimed this antiperspirant deodorant is clinical strength, I was skeptical that it would work to completely stop wetness. Another very popular antiperspirant deodorant that claims to stop wetness as body heat rises never worked for me. I thought maybe this antiperspirant deodorant would perform about the same.

Applying this Product

Secret Clinical Strength product label directions instructs users to apply two clicks at bedtime, but I find these instructions rather odd. I never apply antiperspirant deodorant before bedtime since I shower in the morning. To me it makes more sense to apply antiperspirant deodorant after showering or bathing rather than before. Maybe those who have a problem with night sweats could benefit from applying it at night. My small sample didn’t include an explanation, and I used it in the morning after showering.

Product Results

I was very happy with the way in which Secret Clinical Strength preformed. It has a very unique and pleasant scent, and two clicks was more than enough to keep my underarms dry all day long. I would recommend this antiperspirant deodorant to anyone with problem underarm wetness. This over-the-counter antiperspirant deodorant is the most effective product I’ve found for stopping problem wetness, and if the price is right, I’ll consider buying a full-size container when my sample runs out, however, I probably won’t use it on a regular basis. I’ll only use it when I plan on wearing something that would show visible wetness stains or something that causes excessive perspiration.

Should it Be Used Daily?

Even though I like Secret Clinical Strength, the safety of using a product that completely stops underarm wetness did cross my mind. Although I’ve experienced underarm wetness as everyone has, I really have never considered it out of the ordinary or a serious problem. Products such as these have surely been tested for safety, but I’d rather not completely stop natural perspiration on a daily basis. People are designed to perspire, and completely stopping underarm perspiration isn’t necessary all the time.
