I love music. I like to take my music with me. When it came time to replace my old boombox, I went shopping for an affordable boombox that would be light, travel well and have every feature that I needed to enjoy my music. I wanted quality, value and most of all, a great sound. I ended up at Walmart because they had the widest variety of choices at the most reasonable prices. The Memorex Colors AM/FM CD Boombox With Cassette Recorder caught my eye and I loved the features and design of this product. The price was right, so I decided to buy this item.
The Memorex Colors AM/FM CD Boombox With Cassette Recorder is very colorful. The one that I purchased is a brilliant purple and shiny silver. It resembles a small ufo and is very attractive and cute. I was amazed at the light weight of this product and small size. This boombox has everything! An AM/FM radio, a cassette player/recorder, a top-loading cd player with programmable memory and two-digit LED display. The cd numbers show in bright red. I liked that fact and it is easy to tell what number song is playing on the cd player at all times. The LED display is on the front and the numbers are large and easy to read and see. This item is stylish, trendy and cool. It has a design that is pleasing and delightful. The cassette player is located on the front, for easy loading, the cd player loads at the top and all parts are very sturdy! I loved that.
This product is built well and I am not scared that a tap or bump will break off a piece, important knob or part. I have found this boombox to be strong and very dependable! The cd player has a programmable memory and though I do not use this feature often, it is nice to have it available. One of the best features of the Memorex Colors AM/FM CD Boombox With Cassette Recorder is the bass boost function. This product has a button that turns a bass booster on or off. You can have great bass sound or not, your choice. If you are trying to listen quietly, that feature is excellent. When I want lots of bass, I hit the button and get a wonderful bass sound with my music. This feature really adds to this product and I enjoy using it. I have found the sound of this product to be great and it has pleased me.
Memorex Colors AM/FM CD Boombox With Cassette Recorder has AC/DC operation. It comes with an AC cord. It also uses C sized batteries. I love the ease of moving this player all over the place. It is handy and takes up little space. You just unplug the AC cord from the boombox and it is on battery power. When you plug the AC cord back into the boombox, it goes back to AC power. It also is pretty powerful, picks up many radio stations, has a wonderful directional antenna that is just the right size and length. This boombox has a great handle on the top for easy carrying and best of it, it folds down, so you can’t see it. I loved the fact that the handle did not stick up permanently and found the handle to be very sturdy and easy to manipulate! It tucks down and stays unseen until you are ready to pick the boombox up and move it.
The Memorex colors boombox is very affordable! I loved that. I found this great item at my local Super Walmart for thirty-five dollars! That was bargain. I have gotten my money’s worth and more from this product! This item beat the prices of many other brands like Sony and JVC! The sound quality is fine and while it has small built-in speakers, it delivers the sound well. It does not stand up to very loud volumes though and is at it’s best sound quality when played at a medium level. I have been very pleased with this product and amazed by the quality electronics that I got for such a small amount of money spent. This product is fantastic. I enjoy using it daily and have found it to be a reliable and quality boombox.
