Mary Kay Nourishing Body Lotion Review

Body Lotions, Mary Kay, Nourishing, Red Tea

Just about everyone has heard of Mary Kay. I can’t think of a single person who’s never heard of Mary Kay and their sellers in their pink Mary Kay cars. I’ve never bought anything from Mary Kay and never had any interest to, but I’ve definitely heard of this brand. It’s hard not to unless you live outside of the United States or civilization. I’ve never tried any of their products because I heard they were on the expensive side and I just assumed all the talk about how good their products are was just hype. One Christmas my boyfriend’s mom gave me a gift bag full of beauty products. There were several body lotions in there and two were from Mary Kay’s nourishing body lotion line.

I was given the body lotions in two scents in their 1 oz. size. I have one in Red Tea and Fig and the other is in Lotus Bamboo. I would never have chosen these scents out for myself but I was surprised to find that they actually smelled fairly nice. There were many good things about Mary Kay’s nourishing body lotion, one is that it’s very moisturizing without being too oily and leaving my body feeling greasy. I love the way my skin feels with this lotion on, soft and supple. The moisture from the lotion lasts all day and it seems to rub off dead skin cells too, something I wasn’t expecting. I guess I can add exfoliating to the perks of this lotion. I also like that it comes in a handy 1 oz. size bottle, great for carrying around in my purse or traveling.

There are only a few negatives to Mary Kay’s nourishing body lotion that I could think of, the price and scent. I consider the price to be fairly expensive at $16 to $18 for a 6-8 oz. bottle of body lotion. No matter how good a body lotion works or smells I just can’t imagine myself spending that much money on what is still just lotion. As I mentioned earlier, I have this body lotion in Red Tea and Fig scent and Lotus Bamboo. The scent isn’t bad but it’s not something I prefer. As far as I can see off of the Mary Kay site these are the only two scents that are available from their body care line of body lotions. I’ve noticed that the scent is very strong when I first apply the lotion. My boyfriend has even commented on it when I used it inside his car. Eventually the scent dies down to a much more bearable level.

Mary Kay’s nourishing body lotion has worked wonderfully for me and if I had money to burn and they came out with other scents I might consider buying this for myself. If you don’t mind spend the money I’d recommend it.
