LVNV Funding: A Scammer Known by Many Names

Debt Collection Agency, Debt Collections, Lvnv Funding

“LVNV Funding is committed to maintaining the highest integrity in all of its activities, and to ensuring its customers are treated fairly and with respect.” Yes, that is what their Web site says. Yet the company is suing countless Americans, at any given time, over old consumer debt bills that have expired long ago.

How can they respect someone they are trying to swindle for hundreds or sometimes thousands of dollars? That is a question that many Americans are asking them selves about LVNV funding and it is connections of debt collection.

LVNV Funding is a company of lots of names, Resurgent Capital Services, LP, LVNV Funding Capital Management Services, Astra, Venta, among others; but they are all one in the same according to many internet sources. That is something you can bank on.

LVNV funding is simply a junk debt collector; who buys old expired debt for pennies on the dollar. Then in turn around and contact the customers and try to collect the money on these old expired debts.

LVNV Funding justification and other bizarre credit reporting have gotten lots of hard working Americans in court. They threaten you will lawsuits if you don’t pay up, but I know first hand that 95% of the time they do not even show up for their own cases.

When the lawyers representing LVNV funding or its associates come to court, they bring bogus affidavits and in house made documents. So make sure you take a recent copy of your credit report with you is you go to court.

I did some research on this company and what I found was disturbing. They are simply a junk debt collection agency.

LVNV funding, debt Collection Company that buys junk debt for pennies on the dollar, then turns around, and scares the consumer into paying up on these old debts they own. Most of the time, these debts have surpassed the statue of limits in the state where the consumer lives.

For most states, it is six or 7 years before the statue of limitations runs out on old debts. LVNV funding calls the consumers and tries to set up a debt payment plan in helpful way, but setting up this payment plan only re-ages the debt and makes it current and then one of their other groups will come after you for the full amount.

I know this is hurting my credit report; LVNV has bought an old debt bill and tried to unsuccessfully to sue me for lots of money. When they did not show up at the hearing they requested I won by default. That was last summer but a recent check of my credit report shows they are still on there creating havoc.

If there is no legitimate reason for LVNV Funding LLC to stay in your credit report, then you should place a dispute with them and get the account removed from your file. That is my next move, and the paper work is already out on it.

It is terrible that so many people are completely ignoring their credit or debt until they get sued. Many people even potential employers, who could deny you a job based on what is in there. It would be crappy is LVNV funding tactics cost you a job that you needed to support your family.

The best advice is to look at your credit report often and see what is in there. Eliminate the problem of bogus debt collections before they get out of hand. If LVNV’s mark is on your credit reports take steps now to get it off there.

Between the ridiculous credit reporting and legal issues, LVNV should be writing the checks to us the consumers. I mean their antics are costing us money when we have to go to court with these bogus debt collector lawsuits.

I did plenty of research on the internet and printed off all typed of things for my case, with paper, ink and my time, there is many costs. Toss mental anguish in there and I would settle out of court for several million dollars. I will take it in cash, or holdings. This immoral company, LVNV funding will ruin my credit forever since the debt will keep showing up unless I can afford to build up some type of lawsuit against them.
