Like most women I find I need to rely on a good black mascara to give my eyes extra pop. I have found department store brands that I loved, but wanted to find a cheaper drugstore equivalent. My first foray into drugstore mascara was L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Blackest Black.

L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Blackest Black has a precision brush that has a flat side which will lengthen lashes up to 60% and a comb that will aid in a clump free application.
My Experience
L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Blackest Black is definitely one of the best mascaras that I have ever used. I found out after my purchase that L’Oreal is actually owned by Lancôme, which has a reputation for making high quality mascaras. L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Blackest Black has the almost the same effect as Lancôme Définicils High Definition Mascara in black on me.
L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Blackest Black produces extremely long, defined lashes. In my opinion the claim that this mascara will lengthen lashes up to 60% is extremely accurate. I liked how I could apply just one coat for natural looking lashes or get almost a false eyelash look by applying several layers. The formula was fast drying, another positive.
The claim that the precision brush would provide a clump free application was not entirely accurate; I did notice some minor clumps after several coats. The precision brush was useful in lengthening and defining lashes. It is extremely thin and light so that may be a negative if you are used to heftier brushes. I found the lighter, thinner brush to be useful in applying mascara to my lower lashes; something that can be a problem with thicker brushes.
L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Blackest Black is fragrance-free and I have never experienced any eye irritation. It is easy to remove at night, soap and water does the trick! Although it does not smudge, for that reason I would not recommend this if you are looking for a waterproof mascara.
Although I generally prefer cosmetics with natural or organic ingredients, I make an exception with this mascara. I appreciate that it does contain Jojoba and Palm Oil. Hopefully one day L’Oreal will move to using more environmentally friendly ingredients!
All in all, L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Blackest Black is an excellent mascara. I would definitely repurchase this product again. It can be found at any drugstore for around $8.00 or less and does a superior job. Give L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara in Blackest Black a shot-you will not be sorry!
