I have always had a problem with the toddler beds that were made like a car. My son has been begging me for one of these Little Tikes Sports Car Twin Beds for about a year now. I’ve told him no every time he has asked me because for one they are so expensive. I never understood why they cost as much as they do but I’ve refused to buy one with my hard earned money.
Well, I was shopping on Ebay about two weeks ago and someone was selling a Little Tikes Sports Car Twin Bed for $150. I thought that was great difference between $350. It took me a few days to decide if I was going to buy it or not but after hearing my son explain to my WHY he should have it, I bought it.
The Little Tikes Sports Car Twin Bed turned out to be just what I thought it would be, a mess. I’m very conventional with my thinking and I like to keep it simple at all times. The Little Tikes Sports Car Twin Bed was bulky and just all out huge! First of all, my son’s room isn’t that big so trying to fit a Little Tikes Sports Car Twin Bed in it was almost impossible. All I could think of was my money being tossed down the drain. So I tried to figure out how to make the Little Tikes Sports Car Twin Bed fit into his room without it looking tacky.
So after spending a couple of days cleaning out his room and fitting the Little Tikes Sports Car Twin Bed in, we shopped for a nice cheap bed set to go along with the Little Tikes Sports Car Twin Bed. Since the Little Tikes Sports Car Twin Bed is made with sides that consume the sides of the mattress, it was kind of hard to really make his bed the way I normally make it. Instead I had to tuck the covers and the sheets under the mattress all the way around.Which made the mattress look out of place and bunched up.
Another thing I hated about the Little Tikes Sports Car Twin Bed was that it made bed time extremely hard. I normally lay in the bed and read my little one a bed time story. That wasn’t happening with the Little Tikes Sports Car Twin Bed. It’s hard to get in and hard to get out of. Even my son says the bed is too low to the floor and he usually likes just about any and everything.
I don’t want to be the one to down the Little Tikes Sports Car Twin Bed but personally it’s not for me. But what may not be for me maybe just right for you. I don’t recommend spending $300 for it though, I believe that is truly a rip off for a toddler bed.
