Lingo Voice Over Internet Service

Directory Assistance, Internet Service, Telephone Service

Ever since I heard about Voip, I wanted to try it out. I liked the idea that I could make phone calls over my internet. If you have no idea what Voip stands for, it means Voice over Internet protocol. It utilizes the internet to send and receive calls and faxes over networks. I found it to be interesting so I researched Lingo Voice over the Internet, bought it and took time to experience it myself.

Lingo is a calling service that allows you to make local and long distance phone calls which is provided by Primus Telecommunications Group. The focus of Lingo is to provide cost-effective, quality and reliable outbound and inbound phone calls. These warranted features became apart of my expectations when it came to Lingo Voice over Internet Service. In some areas I was disappointed and in others I wasn’t.

The one thing I liked about Lingo voice over Internet Service was that it was just like my regular telephone service. It offered some of the same features if not more. So i really didn’t feel out of place when it came to switching over. I thought I was going to feel like I was in some type of space age moment when I started using Lingo Voice over Internet. That wasn’t the case, i was able to use my regular telephone with Lingo Voice over Internet service as long as it was connected to the Lingo phone adaptor that was provided for me.

Saving money is definitely something you can do while using Lingo voice over Internet Service. Compared to regular phone service, most of the prices are slashed. I pay $21.95 a month for unlimited calling in the U.S. and 30 different countries. I had to pay a $30 activation fee but all around that wasn’t bad.
With my Lingo voice over Internet Service, I get so many different features. I get free voicemail (which I think should be free without stating). I also get caller I.D, Call waiting, call forwarding, caller block, *69, area code selection Directory assistance, toll free number, free in-networking calling, universal phone number.

Of course you have to have broadband internet to utilize Lingo Voice Over internet Service. But how it works is the neatest part, Lingo Voice Over Internet Service sends your calls over the Internet, which goes through your modem. Your adaptor splits your broadband connection, which allows your phone calls to be sent through to your adaptor and on to your cordless phone.

There are a few things I really hate about Lingo Voice Over Internet Service which is the fact that emergency calling through Lingo Voice Over Internet Service is much more difficult than just calling 911. You will be directed to a public safety answering point where you will have to explain your emergency as well as your location and telephone number. Under certain circumstances, this might be too much. So this is where having a regular telephone service knocks Lingo voice Over internet service out the box. I feel much more comfortable knowing that when I call 911, they automatically know where I’m at.

The wonderful thing about Lingo Voice over Internet Service outside of the Emergency calling situation is that you can take Lingo anywhere with you. As long as you have the adaptor, you can transport your phone service from one place to another.

Lingo Voice over Internet Service is a great way to change over the way you make and receive phone calls. If you can except the way emergency calls are taken then Lingo Voice over Internet Service just might be something you need. It’s cost effective and a lot easier to manage than a regular phone bill
