Learning Resources Alphabet Stampers

Hyphen

I have written about Learning Resources and how much I love their products; they are a great place for homeschoolers to get supplies without breaking their budget. Several years ago I discovered their wonderful alphabet stampers and purchased one of the lowercase alphabet stamp sets. After that I picked up the jumbo version as well as the uppercase letters. All three sets allow you to create personalize alphabet sheets for kids to practice on. You can use the stampers on any type of paper so you can use blank or lined sheets regardless.

Lowercase Alphabet Tracing Stamps $13.99
Contains all letters of the alphabet in lower case along with eight stamps for punctuation (hyphen, ampersand, comma, period, question mark etc). They are packaged in a strong plastic box and the stampers are red so you can tell them apart from others if you are using different sets at one time.

Uppercase Alphabet Stamps $13.99
This set contains the complete alphabet in uppercase format; there are no punctuation stamps with it. They have a blue color to them and like the other sets, the letters on the stamp surface are centered so you know exactly where the image is going to appear on the paper.

Jumbo Uppercase Alphabet Stamps $19.99
These are larger than the regular Uppercase Alphabet Stamps and are the perfect pick for kids that are just starting to learn about letters. They are the same color as the regular uppercase stamps but their size allows you to be able to tell them apart. These are about an inch and a half in size whereas the regular ones are a little under and inch.

You can also check out the Jumbo Teacher Stamps; that is a nice collection of teacher themed stamps that you can use on papers or to decorate printing sheets, as a reward on a paper or to use on name cards. That set contains thirty stamps and has a suggested retail price of $19.99. It comes in a plastic storage case and the stamps are in a teal color.

What can you do with these stampers? You can create personalized practice sheets for kids; you can use their name, age, where they live or if you want to go the extra mile you can create a short story for them. Because these stampers are so well made they can be used for years without the rubber edges ever coming loose from the plastic base. They are extremely easy to use and work with and Annabelle uses them for a lot of different things when she is drawing or coloring. They are less expensive (in the long run) than buying sheets of lined paper or in the case of the Jumbo Teacher Stamps, reward stickers.

You can use any color ink pad with it too. I used to use her name, what she liked (pink, trees, unicorns etc) on the sheets and use different colored inks. If you are going to make something that will be photocopied you will have to use black ink or it will not show up on the copied version. Regardless of whether you homeschool or are just looking for a creative way to teach your child how to letter correctly, these stampers are more than worth the price and once they have mastered lettering you can use them for crafts, greeting cards and other art projects.
