In this guide I will show you how to change your Internet Options in Internet Explorer. You can do many different things in your internet options like set your start page, delete your history, save your history for some many days, and more. I will walk you step by step how to do things in your Internet Expoler options window. If you are new to using Internet Explorer, this guide is for you. Open your Internet Explorer browser. Open your Internet Options by clicking Tools > Internet Options. You will need to keep this window open until we have finished with this guide.

How to Change your Start Page in Internet Explorer

First, I will show you how to change your Start Page in Internet Explorer. You start page is also known as your home page. This is the page that you see when you open your browser. You can set any website to be your start page. All you need is the web address to that website.

With your Internet Options window open, click on the General Tab. At the top of this section you will see a field where you can type in the url to the website that you want as your start page. Type in the address or copy and paste the address into this field. Many people use Google, Yahoo, Local News, Weather, and things along those lines for their start page.

If you want your start page to be blank when you open your browser, click the Blank button below the start page field. Click the Apply button to save the changes.

How to Delete your History in Internet Explorer

When you surf online, your every move is recorded on your computer. You can erase your history by clicking the Clear History button in the History section of the Internet Options box. You can change the number of days that you want your History to be saved by changing the number in the history section.

How to Change the Font Colors in Internet Explorer

You can change the font colors that are displayed in Internet Explorer. Click the Colors button at the bottom of the box. When the little box pops up, click the color box beside Text and change the color to what you want. Do the same thing for the background color.

You can also change the color of the links in that same box. You can change the color of visited links and the color of unvisited links. If a website already has a set color for their visited and unvisited links, these colors in your internet options box will not work. Click the OK button in that box to apply the changes. You will be carried back to the main Internet Options box.

How to Change the Font in Internet Explorer

To change the font, click the Fonts button at the bottom of the box. When the box opens, change the font to what you want and click the OK button.
