KitchenAid Hand Chopper Reviewed

Chopper, Kitchenaid

I know that people are cooking more at home to save money with the uncertain future of the economy. That means many people might be looking for a wide variety of utensils to be using that can help them cook. I know that some people might not know the benefits of using a hand chopper. Some people might not even know what a hand chopper is, but if you are cooking at home and want to get your kids involved this is a great tool.

Now I am a huge fan of the KitchenAid appliances and kitchen tools. I know that it is a name brand, but in my experience the name brand utensils seem to last a lot longer than non-name brand. I have been using my KitchenAid hand chopper for close to three years now and thought I would review the product here so people will be able to make a better informed decision.

Now I know the same basic principle is the same, but the KitchenAid hand chopper does a wonderful job on any food that I have thrown at it so far. I know that I have even had my daughter help me chop up different foods using this chopper as well. I can tell you that when you do have your kids using this product you have to watch them closely, but the KitchenAid hand chopper does have a guard around the base of it to help contain your food.

The next positive is that the chopper has a very easy use. I know that on mine all that I have to do is push on the top of the hand chopper to get the blades to come down. Not only that when you keep repeating your chopping motion it will automatically rotate the blades which makes it even easier to use because you do not have to worry about changing your hand chopper or if you use a knife the direction each time.

The third positive is that it is very easy to clean up. I know that I am able to take mine apart and have it cleaned in about five minutes at the most. The hardest part is if I do not have the dishwater ready. I know that I do not like using my dishwasher for my KitchenAid hand chopper so that might be a downside for some people.

I would have to say though that if you want to chop up foods and have a lot safer way than using a knife then you will love the KitchenAid hand chopper. I know that with my KitchenAid hand chopper I have been able to chop more foods in a safer and faster manner than I have been able to before. Just remember though if you are going to have your kids help you in the kitchen to keep a close eye on them.
