Keebler’s Original Soft Batch Cookies: Chocolate Chip

Keebler

Description of the product:

These cookies come in a red box. There are a picture of the cookies on a box. Of course, Ernie the elf is also on the box as is the Keebler brand and logo. The words “Soft Batch” are the largest words on the package and are white outlined in brown to bring them to attention. However, the full name of the product is “Original Soft Batch Cookies.” These seem to come in only one variety: chocolate chip.

What the product promises:

There is one promise on the product. It states, “Cookies so soft . . . they taste like they’re right from the oven.”

What the product offers:

The cookies are in a plastic container that’s wrapped in plastic that is in a box, so the packaging is a bit much for cookies. However, the cookies themselves are delicious. They are very soft just like promised. Biting into them is a pleasant surprise as they are not crunchy at all and they never get crunchy, either.

It is even possible to break these cookies and suck on pieces and never have to bite them at all. The cookies are so soft that they just fall apart in the mouth and the chocolate melts. Of course, it is a nicer combination if chewed, but either way is possible.

Of course, a serving is only one cookie. They are a bit fattening, but that would be the case with any cookies. The nutrition facts are states and one cookie contains 3.5 grams of fat. One or two cookies definitely makes a great dessert. Sometimes even three or four for splurging.

Is it worth it?

Yes, it is worth it. These cookies come in many different size packages, so you really have to make the call if spending that much money on cookies is worth it for yourself. It would really depend on how much you like these cookies, though one of the biggest package should probably not cost over $6.

However, it is nice that the cookies come in so many package sizes. This provides many different options for school lunches, picnics, dinners, and other meals or snacks.

Comments:

The product contains wheat, soy, egg, and milk products. They are definitely not safe for people who need to be on a gluten free diet.

The really nice thing would be if Keebler figured out a better way to package this product as it comes with so many layers of packaging that creates more garbage.
