Infusium 23 Leave-in Treatment for Hair: A Review

Bathroom Floor, In Treatment, Washing Hair

I hate my hair. I have the finest baby hair you could imagine. When I wash it and pull it back into my hands, there is hardly any there. So why do my friends say what thick, great hair I have?

I wash, condition and put moose in it. Next, I blow dry it and then use the curling iron. After all that messing around I tease it, and then put it into a French roll. The top I lift with a comb and have high semi-curls. I try to have them untidy because I hate the way the hairdressers make your hair so perfect. I can’t have a perm because my hair breaks and leaves me with bald spots.

I have used almost every shampoo and conditioner there is on the market, but still get problems with my hair. After the final rinse I go to comb my hair and it is knotted. I get a handful of hair on the shower floor. With little hair anyway I had to look for a solution. I thought I had found it in Infusium 23 leave in treatment. I purchased the Original for damaged/unmanageable hair. Well, that’s me. I read on the bottle that it “corrects, restores, structurizes as well as infuses the hair with 23 essential pro-vitamin and treatment ingredients. Also instantly repairs and strengthens damaged hair. Instantly detangles hair to improve manageability”.

I just had to have it. So I washed my hair twice. Then used my current conditioner. I figured I would skip the moose and use the Infusium 23 instead. Well I should have used it in the shower. This stuff is really runny, which surprised me. It is a little thicker than water but not much. I squeezed it into my hand to rub in my hair and it went everywhere. Next I tipped the bottle up and poured it onto my head. Straight away I started massaging it into my hair and it started dripping from the ends, straight onto the bathroom floor. I had to ensure that the Infusium leave in treatment went to all the ends of my hair, which most needed it.

My hair felt really smooth and the comb went straight through. I then proceeded to blow dry my hair. When it came to curling my hair, it was so soft and silky that is just wouldn’t hold the curl. I teased it and just couldn’t get any height in it. My hair was a disaster. I also had to clean a sticky bathroom floor.

So let’s try again. This time I used the Infusium 23 in the shower stall. It worked much better, but I still end up wasting some off it. This time I added the moose to my hair and I was able to achieve the desired effect.

What I like about this product.

It does work. It certainly put back body and shine to my hair. It got rid of the tangles.

What I really dislike.

Is the liquid itself. It is way too runny and after washing your hair in hot/warm water, it feels really cold on your head. My solution is to put it in a spray bottle and this did the trick.

So will I use it on a regular basis?

I will continue to purchase it, but will only use it every second or third time I wash my hair. It takes extra time, and my washing hair routines runs 30 to 40 minutes now. I honestly think it is a good product, but they could certainly improve on it.
