Inexpensive Tropical Vacations

Tropical Vacations

When you think of a tropical vacation the last thing that you think is inexpensive. That does not have to be the case however. There are plenty of places that offer great prices to travelers all around the Mediterranean and other tropical locations. Here are some great, relatively inexpensive options for your tropical vacation.

1. Greece- This Mediterranean paradise is great for those that love civilization and relaxing beaches. If you prefer the sophistication of museums and history you can go to Athens, if you prefer deserted beaches you can try one of the Greek Islands like Paxos. For a trip to Greece you can expect to pay around $700 an airline ticket. I know that does not sound too inexpensive but once you get there you will not regret it. With so many things to do you can plan your own vacation and even stay at local hotels and bed and breakfasts to save money.

2. Croatia- The Croatian islands are famous for their lush vegetation, crystal clear waters, and sandy beaches. With any tropical vacation the major part of your expense is going to be getting there. For one person a ticket to Croatia is going to run about $1500. Once you get there however prices drop exponentially to around $15 a day per person to stay at a hotel. There are tons of great things to do there once you land as well. The beaches are of course one of the main draws but you can also partake in local festivities and other great attractions. There are boat tours, excursions, and other great ways to spend your days.

3. Hawaii- This may seem like a typical tourist trap area where you go with a set budget and end up blowing it by the second day but if you know how to spend your money and talk to the locals you would be surprised how much money you can save. It is going to cost around $1000 for a ticket for one person but again most of your expenses are getting to the destination. If you go through a travel agency you may be able to find season deals that help you save even more money but your best bet is to talk with the locals to find out of the way authentic Hawaiian places to stay and things to do to help cut costs. Another great way to cut costs is to avoid the highly trafficked islands for the smaller less traveled islands.

4. Aruba- This vacation is going to cost around $700 a ticket to get there but again prices drop when you get off the plane. Finding great hotels and local places to stay is a great way to save money and for around $89 a night you can have a great hotel room with all the amenities. Once you arrive in Aruba you can go to the beach, rent jet skis, rent paddle boats, go snorkeling, and just about anything else you can imagine.

5. Rio de Janeiro- Again, the ticket price to get here is a bit startling at around $800 but hotel prices are great at about $70 for a good hotel. Once you get to Rio de Janeiro you can partake in water sports, soccer, diving, hiking, surfing and much more.

Any of these destinations are great but your best bet is to find the best deals you can prior to leaving for any vacation. If you are unsure if you are saving money you should definitely go to a travel agency and find out if there are any all inclusive packages that include your hotel, plane, and other amenities. All of your expenses depend entirely on how many people you take, how you get there, and if there are any deals that you can find around the time that you want to go. With any of these vacations you can expect to pay a couple of thousand dollars but that is well worth it for memories that will last a life time.
