Ideas for Student and Fan School Spirit

High school and college students and fans like to show their school spirit for their teams. Many fans will take their lead from the cheerleaders. However, there are other things you can do. This article will give some suggestions for these groups to show their team spirit.

1. Record your fight song on your cellphone. Every time your phone rings, your fight song is played.

2. Make some carpet remnants with your team’s logo on it. You can usually get these at a carpet store. Then simply use a stencil and paint your team name or logo onto your remnant. These can be placed under your school desk or in your home or business.

3. Purchase some team pennants. Hang them on your wall at home, school or work. You can also place these inside your school locker door. Post your teams schedule. Some are printed on these pennants.

4. Bumper stickers are great. They can be stuck anyplace. They can go on your laptop case or briefcase. They are excellent for rural mailbox posts. Just pull off the back paper and they are ready to go.

5. Business suit ties. A plain colored tie can easily have logos, initials stitched or painted onto the base of it. You can be as bold or discreet as you want.

Doing a cheer, at practice, is usually unheard of. However, it can get players to practice harder. You might even be able to pick up some freebies like pocket schedules.

11. Game day dress up. Wear clothing that has your teams school colors.

12. Sit in a group at the game. More noise is made by groups, than individuals. You can also create special team cheers, as a group. Group cheers can be set up as competition cheers as well.

13. When the starters are announced for the visiting team, hold up newspapers to show your disinterest in them.

14. Ride the fan bus. Many schools provide a fan bus for a set travel price. When the fan bus arrives, it picks up the spirits of the players.
