Using a simple and easy to understand interface, I Copy DVD’s 2 copies DVD’s using an interface with very few settings. You can copy home authored DVD’s that you create or using an additional decoder you can copy your DVD library for backups so you don’t have to worry about scratching your originals.

The I Copy DVD’s 2 Ultra Edition comes with the I Copy DVD’s 2 program and a drag and drop utility for videos, photos and music called Burn Suite 2005. The Burn Suite 2005 allows you to drag and drop files of videos, music and photos and burn them onto DVD’s or CD’s.

I Copy DVD’s 2 works very well with a very simple interface and could not be easier to use. When you install and start up the I Copy DVD’s 2 program a small half circular page opens with a couple of setting. You can choose between the Dual Layer and the Entire Disc options as well as a help section for some useful information and tips for using I Copy DVD’s 2.

There is also a settings section that pops down from the half circle page that includes the location for your temporary file when copying and using only one DVD drive. There are also choices for language and subtitle preferences and wide or full screen recording.

Other than these choices there are no other settings for very simple and easy choices to record a DVD. I used the I Copy DVD’s 2 program to record a few DVD’s and found it very simple; in fact it could not be easier. Simply insert the DVD and ignore the auto play function if it starts or cancel it if the DVD starts to play.

Choose the settings if you want to change the language or screen size and hit the start button. The program will tell you how much it will take to finish the current operation which it will do two of for single drive systems, a read operation and a burn operation. It took about ten to fifteen minutes to read a DVD movie and about the same to record so it will take a total of a half hour to record a full length movie with some extras.

I Copy DVD’s 2 creates exact duplicates of the original with up to 16X speeds and can copy Dual Layer DVD’s. The quality of the copies is indistinguishable from the originals for the movies I copied and they play just fine. The only problem I had with I Copy DVD’s was that it would not work in Windows Vista and I did try it on two separate computers running Vista.

The program that comes on the CD is for Windows ME through XP and does not come with support for Vista. When you install the version or if you only have a Vista computer you should go to their website and input the license number and password that is inside the CD case to log into their site as a customer. This will bring up your purchases and show a download link for the most current version that works for Windows Vista.

The Burn Suite 2005 worked fine for both Windows XP and Windows Vista but I did have to download the current version to get the I Copy DVD’s 2 to work on my Vista system. This was the only problem I had with this software and it works very well. Both of these programs are for simple and easy burning of discs and therefore have very few options. I really like the fact that Mee Too Software has made this with as few options as possible for totally confusion free copy and burn utilities.

The Burn Suite 2005 is a very nice and easy to use drag and drop program for copying movies, videos and files to disc. Using the simple drag and drop you can pick up anything on your desktop and drop into the icons, then simply verify the location and other information and the program will burn the disc for you.

There are four icons that show up on your desktop when you run the Burn Suite 2005; Video, Backup, Music and Data. Each icon uses selective options for each type of burn depending on the purpose. The Video section has options for Video Bit Rate and test after record for its options.

The Backup section only has a couple of options for backup locations while the Data section is very similar but with more options about what type of data and how to handle that data. The Music has only a couple of record options for audio files called pre gap length.

Each Drag and Drop section works well and is for a very simple way to burn information to a disc. Each section only has a few options or choices for how it handles the information so that you have a simple and easy way to burn your information. This program uses the simplicity so that anyone can use it without having to understand all about the various choices for an easy CD and DVD burning program.

Both the Burn Suite 2005 and the I Copy DVD’s 2 contains erase and test features so if you do put in a disc that has information or you want to check the information you burn you can do both. Each program installs easily and works very well.

I highly recommend the I Copy DVD’s 2 Ultra Edition for an extremely easy to use DVD copy program to back up and copy your DVD’s. The Burn Suite 2005 is a great drag and drop program that quickly performs burn operations for a variety of data with very few options for simple and easy disc burning.
