Howard Stern Tells Kevin Bacon He Should Have Won an Oscar for “X-Men: First Class”

Howard Stern is a real Kevin Bacon fan, and he’s also a hardcore fan of comic books and super hero movies like the X-Men films. Stern’s two fanboy worlds collided this morning, when actor Kevin Bacon graced the SiriusXM studio with his fantastic “Footloose” dancing presence. Stern poked fun at Bacon for him dreading attending weddings and Bar Mitzvahs, where invariably the DJ will spot the actor and play the “Footloose” theme song from Kenny Loggins.

The versatile actor known for leading man roles in the pop culture favorite, “Footloose”, and deeply wrought character turns like in Oliver Stone’s “JFK”, is promoting his new television show on FOX called “The Following”, created by “Scream” writer and “Dawson’s Creek” creator Kevin Williamson.

But above all of Howard Stern’s accolades to Bacon, he revealed how much he loves “X-Men: First Class”, co-starring Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender. He told Bacon that he dearly loved his performance as the villain Sebastian Shaw, and felt he was left out come Oscar season time. The King Of All Media said that he truly felt Bacon’s acting was so excellent, he deserved an Academy Award for his artistic efforts.
