It doesn’t matter why you need to pass a drug test, you just do, and usually when you do passing is far more important than why. Passing a drug test depends on the type of test, the type of drug and how soon you need to pass the test. “How to pass a drug test” will instruct you how to do this.
Keep in mind that the best way to guarantee you will pass a drug test is to not do the drugs in the first place, but if you found yourself in need of this how to, I’m betting it’s too late for that.
Generally drug tests are done one of three ways; a urine sample, a hair sample or an oral swab. Employment drugs tests, which are the most common, are usually urine or oral as this method is the fastest and most cost effective. You may not know ahead of time what type of drug test you will be given, but never worry we will cover all three here.
As soon as you find out you’ll need to take a drug test it’s important you begin to prepare. The first step in passing a drug test is to stop using the drug at least for the time being. Then you’ll want to decide which method or methods of passing a drug test you would like to use.
Step Two: Deciding which method to use to Pass your Drug Test:

Urine testing options: Note a urine test will detect drug use within a few days to a month.
-System Dilution: This method entails drinking excess amounts of fluid such as water or cranberry juice in an attempt to flush the system. If there is ample time before the test and your drug use is minor this method may be effective. There are also many pills and potions so to speak available that will cause a urine test to come up clean. Most of them require several hours to be effective.
-Substitution: This method requires you obtain a clean urine sample from someone shortly before the test or purchase synthetic urine. Some times a test will be checked for temperature, so commonly substitutions are place against the skin in a bag or pouch.
Please note that urine substitution is ILLEGAL, it is listed as a method here for information purposes only as it is one of the commonly used methods to pass a drug test.
Saliva testing options: Note a saliva test will detect drug use only within three days.
The only way to pass a saliva drug test is to not do drugs three days before the test. If you have done any drugs within three days avoidance is the answer. You can avoid drug testing by being unable to supply identification at the time of the drug test.
Hair testing options: Note a hair test will detect drug use within the last several months.
The only way to pass a hair drug test is to cease use and then use clarifying shampoos and/or a toxin remover rinse. (costs around $75.00) As hair testing is expensive it is less commonly done.
Note: Blood testing is also a way to detect drug use, but this method is rarely used.
Now that you know the basic methods to passing the three types of drug tests and have decided which are necessary in your situation it’s time to get supplies.
If you’ve stopped drug use and still have at least three days before your drug test, the saliva test is covered. If you don’t have three days, try to reschedule or simply forget your identification the day of the test. It is possible to pass a saliva swab drug test if you have done drugs within three days if you get lucky, however the longer the span of time between the test and the drug use the better.
In the case of pre-caution hair or urine drug testing you will need to go shopping.
Things you may purchase:

-Hair cleansing products (Including stripping shampoos and the rinse mentioned above)
-Synthetic urine.
Depending on the method or methods to pass your drug test you choose you naturally will not need all of these items.
Step 4: Take Action
Now put your supplies into action. To do this in most cases you’ll simply be following the instructions on the packaging of the product you bought. If you chose to simply try and flush your system, drink as much of the fluid you purchased as possible.
If you chose to substitute your urine you’ll need to prepare a way to sneak it in. Keep in mind drug tester’s commonly pat down people being tested. The best method is to keep the urine/synthetic urine in a pouch or plastic bag taped to the inside of the upper thigh. This also keeps the urine at the proper body temperature. You can even purchase devices such as the “urinator” that will hold and distribute urine for you if you feel you will be tested on a regular basis. If you opt to have someone give the sample for you, be sure it is used within hours or has been frozen as old urine will affect the test results.

Here’s a few numbers to give your a rough idea of how long some of the common drugs that show up on drug test failures stay in the system.
Amphetamines: two to four days.
Barbiturates: two days to four weeks.
Cocaine: two to four days.
Marijuana: ten to sixty-three days.
Methamphetamine: three to five days.
Opiates: five to seven days.

Time periods vary from frequency of use and the strength of drug used. Also note these numbers are entirely useless in the case of a hair drug test. Drug use can be seen in the hair indefinitely, however most drug tests only look at enough length to see ninety to one hundred and twenty days.
Remember, most importantly do not use drugs any more until after your test.
Step Five: Take Your Drug Test
All that is left to do now is take the test and hope you pass. Chances are if you followed all of the steps you will pass your drug test. Keep in mind the only guarantee to passing a drug test is to not use drugs within 120 days of the drug test. Good luck!
