2.5 ounce skein of sport crochet thread. The skein of crochet thread can make two potholders. One crocheted potholder will be approximately 5 inches square, and the other potholder will be approximately 7 inches squared.
Size 5 or F crochet hook. The hook will be used to crochet the potholder.
Scissors. The scissors will be used to cut the crochet yarn.

Tie a slip knot loop at the end of the yarn you pull from the skein of yarn. Insert your crochet hook into the loop you made. You will need to crochet a single stitch line 28 stitches long.
