There are many ways to get Six Flags Ticket deals and we used a combination of them for big savings even without coupons. If you go to the website to order tickets you can get a discount. If you bring a can of coke at the right time of year it works like a Six Flags coupon and you can get different discount. If you get a season pass it can pay for itself in just a few visits. When buying tickets, we got ours ahead of time and saved. If you use the credit card they recommend you can save even more money as well as get additional cash back.
Free Drinks
It was very hot on our summer trip and there aren’t many water fountains. However, this park appreciates their patrons’ need to stay hydrated. Free water with or without ice is available from most any concession stand in plastic cups. They will even fill portable water bottles for free. This is a great idea that I recommend. We have so many souvenir cups already and our own containers were easier to carry. We brought our own water bottles from home and they happily refilled them many times.
Food Savings
As is typical of amusement parks, the food costs more than at a regular fast food restaurant. However we got one meal which turned out to be enough for two, that wasn’t bad for the price. So you can find places to eat where the value for your money isn’t bad as well as vendors offering some vegetarian food. You can also bring your own.
Make It Worth It
Ride rides with short lines. If you go at a less popular time of year, even roller coaster lines will be shorter. Check out rides online ahead of time to see how many you want to ride. Plan your walk around the park to spend more time having fun. We planned ahead of time and fit in even more roller coasters than I thought we’d be able to as well as rode a number of other rides. We even fit in the water park.
Weather is important when planning your trip to an amusement park. You don’t want to have to go home early due to a storm. Sunscreen or sun block is also a good idea. You don’t want to ruin a trip by coming home with a sunburn. It was sunny all day so we brought sun screen and reapplied it as needed.
The staff was very friendly and gave out a lot of high fives. Even if you’re not into high fives, the happy attitude of all the workers of the parks makes for an enjoyable experience at Six Flags America.
