How Egyptian Musk Perfume is Made

Patchouli

Dried patchouli leaves are essential to this process because of their intense mint scent. They are mostly found in India, China, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia. They are usually placed in the sun or under a heating lamp to achieve maximum heat in order for them to dry. Once they are heated for two to three days, the leaves should be dry enough to crinkle when enough pressure is applied.

Wilted rose petals are essential to this process because of their moisture content. Roses chosen depend on the scent that the manufacturer may prefer. For instance, a darker rose may smell stronger than a lighter, fruitier smelling rose. To achieve a wilted rose petal, creators leave the rose exposed to air, at room temperature, for roughly five to seven days. The rose should be left in water in order to achieve the moisture needed for the petal to wilt properly.

It is up to the creator of the perfume to decide the type of oil to use. It is recommended that tbe a Sweet Almond Oil or a high quality Olive Oil. he oil either

The type of Olive Oil chosen should be an Extra Virgin Olive Oil so that the oil content doesn’t taint the perfume in any way. Sweet Almond Oil is helpful because it uses the pure and natural qualities of almonds and is already distilled enough to achieve a pure perfume.

The Oil element in this process is used to act as an additive feature to blend all of the scents together.

Vitamin E boasts helpful features for skin. It is great to use in this process because it acts as a “glue” for the perfume to sick to the skin. Not only does it stick to the skin, but it keeps it healthy in doing so.

Manufacturers begin by combining the dried elements together. This will include the Dried Patchouli Leaves and Wilted Rose Petals.Wen put in a container, it should be filled about to one and a half inches from the top. This is to allow room for the oil elements.

Once the container is appropriately filled, the oils are poured over the dried elements. The Vitamin E will be added to top it all off!

The container must be shaken well, then placed in a bowl that has been filled with hot water. This helps the oils blend with the floral elements and breaks down their components; which will essentially bring out their scents.
Once the water has cooled, the container is removed and shaken thoroughly.

For the next twenty-eight to thirty-five days the jar will be placed in a warm area. Each day, the jar will be shaken in order to better blend the elements together. This part of the process can be a bit tedious.

Once the twenty-eight to thirty-five days is over, it would be time to filter the oils. Manufacturers do this by using a funneling system and any type of cloth as a filter. The contents of the container are poured into a cloth-filled funnel that is connected to another container. The oils are then filtered slowly through the funnel into the new container. The new container will only contain the scented oils and essentially the Egyptian Musk Perfume!
