Hot Summer 2010 Hairstyles

Summer brings out the romantic in some and the wild in others. Regardless of the look your desiring these easy styles will add to your memories of summer nights in 2010.

1. Braids– It’s a classic look with a lot of twists. You can loosely braid your hair and have pieces falling freely, or you can rubber-band the top portion, braid the bottom and then tie up again. If your able to french braid your hair, it doesn’t have to start at your bangs, you can start lower on the base of your head to give it a much more romantic flare.

2. Twist– Twisting your hair can be just enough to give it a fancier look without the extra dexterity of braiding. You could twist your sides and clasp with bobby pins or make one inch sections and twist each section and secure with booby pins until you meet up with the opposite side. This style is nice because if you want to get rid of your bangs for a night, it’s easy to do.

3. Buns– As muggy as it can get, even into the evening, sometimes it’s just nice to put it all up. There are trendy and beautiful clips out there that are inexpensive and make for an easy sweep of your hair. I like to take my hair as if I was going to put it in a ponytail and then twist the whole section a few times and clasp with a butterfly clip. I’ll sometimes let the layers fall randomly or if it’s very muggy, I’ll accesorize with a headband.

4. Flat Iron- There’s something sexy about sleek, straight hair. Straightening it can be time consuming if you have thick hair but the results are well worth the time. Just make sure you start at the bottom and clip the top sections away.

5. Curling Iron– Maybe you want to add a little curl to your straight locks or tame the curl in an all ready curly do. Then after you get the desired curl, pin half of your hair up using barrettes or bobby pins or clips.

6. Side swept– I’ve been noticing a trend of one side up and the other side down. There are several ways of pinning the hair to one side, the key is to place a flower on the side that is more bare.

7. Pig Tails– Not everyone will probably have the nerve to pull this off but you can do this in the summer time, the pig tails shouldn’t sit high on your head like a school girl. Set them low and use attractive holders to accentuate the look.

8. One small braid– Use those little rubber-bands that look more like plastic. Take a small section of your hair in the front on the side and braid it very tightly. One long or small braid, depending on hair length, is a fun, spicy look.

9. Beach look– This one calls for some mousse or gel. Put the product in your hair when it’s damp, then scrunch the heck out of it while blow drying. When your hair is all dry, use a pick to pluck through it and add some shine enhancer if there are any fly aways.
